They have a whole conversation about how, while a rematch with Postol might not be the ideal booking scenario business-wise or from the fans' perspective, the upset is possible and if he springs it Postol will be the deserving next target, and yet Max's dumb ass concludes the interview by saying "can't wait to see you vs. JCR for all the marbles!" as if that was a foregone conclusion! Super professional, Max.
In due time. Right now he wants all the belts so that means JCR or Postol. Rougarou can put himself on the scoreboard, notch a few on his coup stick and come again.
It was close, but clear. Even Prograis knew he lost, and he took it about as well as I have seen by any boxer. Top class fighter, and he made a fan out of me that night.
Just had a look. Josh Taylor vs Regis Progais was at the end of October, and Viktor Postol vs Jose Carlos Ramirez is in February (less than a month away). So, the timing is very good. Postol vs Ramirez winner fights Taylor and then the winner of that fights Progais. That is a very solid motion to find out who the king of 140 is. In the mean-time, Progais might want to have a couple of stay busy showcase fights.
Close but clear. A rematch is warranted (far more than one against Postol would be, on paper) but not immediately critical.
Taylor should move up to 147, hes physically too big, strong and athletic for these 140ers. Prograis is the 2nd best fighter at 140 imo and taylor beat him with ease.
Yeh he was very humble in defeat. I think if Taylor beats Ramirez then a rematch with prograis in the states state be good.
