Right move IMO. About time he moves to 147. Benn, Ennis, Porgrais, Mathias and others are possibilities there.
Taylor vs Benn please; I would back Taylor to expose Benn now Benn's power has mysteriously disappeared.
I don't think Taylor has anything left. Injuries, inactivity, bad form, tough fights and the wrong trainer probably all have a negative impact on him and I don't think he can rewind time and I don't think he will cut it at 147. I'm not convinced he beats anyone in the top 10 at Welterweight.
Whilst that's true, he might be the man to put the Benn career to bed once and for all. Double cashout.
Sad thing is, I'm not convinced he has enough left in the tank to do it. No doubt in his prime but now...he's a shadow of himself.
I agree that Josh Taylor is definitely on the slide, but I don't believe in a third fight against Catterall. Who will pay for it ? There should be plenty of opportunities for Taylor. Maybe a rematch against Regis Prograis ?
Wait and see the man in action when Connor Benn v Eubank Jnr is announced for the undisputed 1980s middleweight belts.
