    Forget all other scottish prospects

This guy is the one that will fly the flag for scotland at world level

Has improved loads the last few years, solid all rounder, good amateur pedigree, got a quality team around him in the Mcguigans.

    Future World champion.

as much as i like josh and his boxing ability i really dont see him reach world level. his temperement isnt the best and can lose his cool when things dont go his way. quality addition but not sure about world level.

josh taylor vs charlie flynn could be a huge all scottish light welter fight in the future, two scottish commonwealth gold medalists in the same weight

Charlie is a light weight and before Josh fights for any title he'll be a welter struggles to do LWW.
Josh is very good and I expect him to win minimum British title, there's a lot of good fights out there for him and good luck to him nice lad

Josh Taylor has a better start at the pro game than say Joe Ham or Charlie Flynn however I believe the kid to look out for is Reece McFadden. He won silver at the Commonwealth beating Andrew Selby and Charlie Edwards. He's fast, great heart and determination. He's going to the Olympics next year before hitting the pro game.

Not that I'm aware of however that's his aim and I've no doubt he'll make the cut.

i agree hes very good, but he aint going to the olympics as he aint in the Gb or even podium potential squad for some reason, the selectors are biased for english boxers

I spoke to him recently and his ambition is to go to the Olympics. If your saying that won't happen then he's going to be a ****ed off kid. It won't hinder his progress. He's said he might even go to the Commonwealth Games at the Gold Coast in three years time. Aqeel Ahmed is looking to go again.

The try outs are in Sheffield this weekend and Reece won't be there unfortunately. Here are the fighters travelling Aqeel Ahmed, William Stuart, John Docherty, William Hutchinson, Sean Lazzerini, Dennis Broadhurst, Stephen Boyle and Lee McGregor.

    why aint he going?

and no he has no chance of qualifying for the olympics this year, as in his weight the GB squad has Andrew Selby and jack Bateson ahead of him, they haven't even given him a chance so far so theres no chance with just a year to go. Maybe he means the olympics in 2020 cause he sure aint going to the 2016 olympics unfortunately
