His win over O Davies was impressive. His work up close was very good

No way he deserves an immediate or one in the foreseeable future unless he really earns it... Taylor on the other hand should stay busy, have a tune-up and fight the Crolla/Burns winner.

Unusual for a British prospect to be moved so quick. He's well above domestic level now and only fights worthwhile for him there aren't really feasible just now.

Robbie Davies jr will rematch Syrowatka next I'm sure once he's ready to return after some personal trauma. And Jack Catterall fights Tyrone Nurse for British Title in October. European root closed off this year as Anthony Yigit will fight Sandor Martin next.

Fringe World level would be fine. Michelle de Rocco has just lost and John Molina hasn't returned from Crawford beating but these types of fights are winnable right now.

Long term, I'd love to see him fight Regis Prograis, Sergei Lippinets, Antonio Orozco or Jose Carlos Ramirez as those will be the new breed of 140 fighters challenging for world titles.

What I like about Taylor is he shows new skills in almost every fight. He appears to be a smart fighter who can make adjustments. He seems handy at all ranges, and although not defensively perfect he is responsible. He has nice speed, varies his jab, good hooks, counters, timing, footwork, angles, lateral movement, can bait, set traps, body work, change tempo, punch, defensive variety and seems tough with solid chin. After only 10 pro fights, that's not a bad skill set and although he had no world class wins, he has defeated experienced opposition with good win-loss records rather emphatically.

When Crawford inevitably moves up, Taylor is as solid a bet as anyone to be the next star at 140. Only 26 in an age where prospects are a little older. Lippinets, Prograis and Orozco all 2-3 years older than Taylor. I wouldn't bet my mortgage in any of those three comfortably beating Taylor right now and as a 10 fight pro novice, that can only be a good sign.

Great talent. I hope he gets the respect he deserves because this British prospect doesn't just want titles, he wants to be the best. In today's age, it's all I ask for as a fan.

Ohara would just get embarrassed again -- probably even worse the second time around if Taylor continues to improve and flourish.

Taylor had it in him to go out and destroy OD in a few rounds that night. He chose to box smart, see what OD had and used intelligent aggression. A second fight would only result in OD being dismantled even earlier.

Yes, Taylor even appeared to be toying with Ohara after the first knockdown. Given how conclusively Taylor beat Ohara, Ohara can't seriously expect to just talk his way into a rematch; he has to earn that potential fight by beating solid 140lbers (not just old and blown-up Lightweights like Derry Mathews).

I'm a little uneasy about a potential Taylor vs Burns fight getting made, given how shot Burns looked against Relikh and Indongo. It's an easy KO win for Taylor, and a final cash-out fight for Burns after the Crolla fight. Nothing more, in my opinion.

And say Crolla beats Burns (which he should, even if Crolla moves up and fights Burns at 140, taking into consideration how shot Burns looked against both Relikh and Indongo). If Crolla sticks around at 140 to fight Taylor, Taylor smokes him with ease too.

Fight confirmed today at press conference. Josh Taylor vs Miguel Vasquez, Edinburgh, Scotland on 11/11/17.

Nice step up for a 10-0 talent, very awkward opponent. Probably won't be a great fight to watch but a great learning fight. Well done Cyclone for making it & Josh Taylor for taking it.

Clearly not hanging around for British Titles etc

One of the best body punchers around atm.

Also that lead hook he suckered OHD which grazed the point of his chin was a thing of beauty

Looks promising. Switches between southpaw and orthodox fluidly. Has a nice style
