That is what he is supposed to say.

He's a fighter who had a bad night. No boxer ever believes they are going to lose until they do, even then some can't accept it without having a mental breakdown. (Looking at you Deontay)

    Did anyone expect anything different?

I thought he lost but no way do I ever want to hear a fighter say he lost. Respect to this guy for giving Jack a rematch in the next fight. Two good fighters, I look forward to watching the fight.

That’s how his mentality should be. He doesn’t need to admit anything, he just needs to move forward with a rematch so he can earn respect again.

Many people thought Andre Ward should have lost to Kovalev in the first fight and Ward wanted to prove everyone wrong. He didn’t let the hate get to him and he ended up stopping Kovalev in the rematch. Taylor should also use that as motivation to be better in the rematch.

It's ok if you lie to me, but very bad if you lie to yourself.

He needs to watch the film and decide for himself. Have someone in there with him who isn't part of
his ass kissing entourage. Watch and learn. If you thought you won by a round or two fine, but at least
    learn something.

Don’t admit you're a loser. Although he obviously is.

    Bradley never admitted it either.
    Ali did it once though

What’s wrong with admitting you lost?

I thought he got rated fairly, he accomplished some good feats that did deserve credit. But no one was acting like he was p4p number 1. He still is a good fighter despite getting gifted an undeserved victory.

    Confidence.
A boxer with enough self confidence would admit he got lucky with the judges' verdict. And would be able to admit his shortcomings which he has to work on.
Someone lacking confidence wouldn't admit he lost, and would just double down.
