Great performance by Taylor. He thinks too much at times though. He's only going to get better. Brilliant talent.

Gotta say as a scotsman i am excited by how naturally talented taylor is, he has incredibly fast hands and his range of shots are amazing, he has serious power for such a light guy as well, his body shots were tremendous, honestly think he is a future world champion. Barry mcguigan is right in saying he will be the best scottish boxer since buchanan.Who should he fight next?

Just seen the match. It was the first time I saw Taylor in action, bit I'm sure it's not going to be the last time.
He is a great prospect and exciting to watch. He stopped a very tough opponent in Ryan.
    That bodyshot was absolutely killing!

It was a good performance after 6 fights, no question but I was really disappointed in Ryan.

I will say it, I think Taylor will be Scotlands Paul McCloskey, European title at best.

Think you are wrong, he basically knocked out a guy with an iron chin in 5 rds, he is only had his 7th fight and hes a commonwealth champ, you only need to watch one rd and you can see he is destined for great things.

Any point in this guy continuing with his career if he has been found out to be a limited fighter by N17 after 7 wins from 7 fights.

Sounds a bit like Gordon Strachan's comment last week of not picking a player in form because he was too small to defend set pieces.

Maybe lucky Lionel Messi is not a Scottish national or he would never get a game and this Jock guy is highly rated by Barry McGuigan.

I simply was very impressed and yes there are many hurdles to overcome - all the jockeys say the same at the Starting Line at Aintree mate.

Somebody rattled your cage, look I'm entitled to my opinion, we will see, time we tell who was right or wrong but I believe he be around European level when all is said and done.

Paul McCloskey won a European title, I'm not knocking that achievement, that's a great achievement but I see similarities between them that's all.

It was a good performance because he did what he ad to do and was expected to do but Ryan was awful, seriously awful. No need to go over the top in my opinion.

I've seen it all before, a fighter comes out of the Olympics, great amateur pedigree, gets a big build up, lot of hype, blasts his way through a lot of bang average fighters and everything he does is "world class" but sooner or later they level out and get found out.

I've seen Taylor for years in the amateurs and most of his pro fights. I think he has bags of potential, is with a good young hungry traner and a promoter who will look after his interests. He seems to be a level headed hard worker- but he will need to be as if he lets the talk go t his head ten he could get carried away and he will come cropper.
Saying he would beat Ricky Burns just now is absolutely ridiculous! He has more natural ability than Ricky but Ricky wil have forgotten more tricks in the ring than Josh ha ever learned.
