If this was Garcia from the Thurman or Porter fight i'd pick him. I think Taylor would beat him now, Garcia is on his way out.

Josh Taylor. Garcia is a good fighter who looks decent against top opposition with clever tactics, sharp hands and a great beard, but he doesnt go and take over fights. Taylor decisions him.

The only thing Garcia has on Taylor is he's campaigned at 147 for years.. He's an inferior boxer on every level

Danny Garcia is an overrated mediocre boxer. All he has is a chin. Lots of gift decisions he could have many more losses to add to his loss column.

Taylor is the much better overall boxer. And he is a true fighter with a far greater winning mentality. Garcia didn't even try to win in his pathetic performance against Spence, he was very happy to just last the distance . Since Garcia moved up from the weak at the time 140 division to 147 he knows his place as just an inferior opponent

Danny wouldn't throw enough punches and Taylor would outwork and outbox him. He's not the same guy who beat Matthysse eight years ago.

Garcia is the stronger fighter but Taylors boxing skills pull off a UD.

Listen, Josh is a top fighter but let's calm down a bit there are some quality fighters that would give him a real fight. He would decision Garcia imo but don't write guys like Garcia off, they are world-level operators. Garcia would be a different animal to Ramirez for example.

I didn't think that fight really lived up to expectation due to the cut Lucas had. I was hoping they did it again in a rematch. It was quite unsatisfactory

I think Danny catches Taylor with a few big shots late in the fight and KOs him. I just don't see Taylor being all that at this point.

Were he to beat (convincingly) one of the divas coming up from 135 or a serious welter like Danny Garcia, I might could be persuaded though.
