Essuman won this clearly. Taylor started well but completely faded after the 5th round. I think it’s safe to say that Josh Taylor is just no longer the same world class fighter as he once was.

116-112 Essuman. Nothing too impressive, but the composure, basics, and his cardio get him a good win. Taylor's speed caused him issues early, but once Taylor slowed it was over. He was able to stalk and hurt Taylor on numerous occasions.

As for Taylor, it's time to retire. The lack of cardio was shocking, but that's what happens when you're an alcoholic.

116-112 Ekow for me. Taylor started really sharp, but couldn't sustain it past four rounds - and credit to Ekow for his bodywork and workrate aside from anything about Taylor being shot or anything.

 

Taylor is shot, looked good early but was completely gassed for half the fight.
