Sadly I think JT’s time has come and gone. In the early rounds he was looking like The JT of old but the longer the fight went on and particularly in the 2nd half it was all Essuman.

Yes not scoring it round by round whilst watching the fight but the 116-112 card seemed fair. It was a good fight but Josh Taylor is a shell of himself as others have posted.

Looks like Taylor is being a sore loser. He lost a competitive but clear fight imo.

taylor was overrated due to being around when there wasnt much real talent, so made good fights against other overrated fighters like regis. good fighters, just very beatable by the talented. good career for his level. kinda the way i view a guy like barrios, who is also good, but not real good, yet has managed to make some coin and headline events.

Taylor is indeed washed and should hang em up, but I'd like to use this opportunity to remind the forum that almost 50% of you said that Taylor could beat Crawford 4 years ago.

Would have been a Scottish funeral had Crawford-Taylor ever happened.

Unfortunately, Josh hit his peak high during Covid, and didn't see the fruits of that. Probably should have gone up then, but would have been outclassed by Bud anyway. He then had a massive comedown from the fall out of not taking Catterall seriously.

No, Bowe still had a lot left and plenty of fight left in him and Golata was a highly skilled world class operator. Taylor is a husk of his former self both mentally and physically and he just lost to a domestic level who is fraction of the talent and fighter Golota was

    Balogun vs Itauma
    10-8 Itauma
    KO by Itauma

Great looking KO. I don't mind Itauma KOing these journeymen on undercards but march him out every couple of weeks, not every 5 months and have him do this. It's ridiculous he's gonna sit on the shelf for another 4 months. Let's also all hold anointing this guy the next Mike Tyson, Muhammad Ali or Joe Louis. Lot of guys looked great destroying older and limited journeymen turned into ones themselves when they met someone who could stand up to them and had could start asking real questions of them.
