Really? What would you say? 116-112 is only 1 swing round from 115-113

That’s what’s frustrating. His shot selection and timing looked good tonight but he was always an inside fighter who was great at working the body. Instead that idiot McNally has him fighting at range. Taylor’s main weaknesses were always concentration and getting caught with counter punching so why on earth do you have him fighting at range? It actually annoyed me watching the tactics and awful corner advice.

Tonight was a great advert for why body shots are so important. The work Ekow put in downstairs really paid off, slowed Josh down and took the sting out of his punches

The Taylor x McGuigan partnership was something else.

Nice words from Frampton and Barry Jones.

Hopefully Taylor will get the plaudits he deserves once he retires.

Taylor has unfortunately been to the well to many times - you could see the difference in class the first 2 rounds..

The injuries and inactivity have killed his ability to compete at the pace over 12 and unfortunately tonight he was up against a guy who can fight at pace for 120 rounds

Not sure if linked but McGuigan has just posted a picture of him and his dad on his insta story immediately after the result.

JT you can see past his best but classy first few rounds, problem being as we know move up in weight against guys with decent power and output at some point if you cant find another gear as tonight you are in trouble.

Delighted to see the better man getting the nod on the cards away from home especially against the house fighter when so many times it has gone the other way. EE imo won 7-5 rounds.

Matchroom shows have Parsons, Bellew and Sunny Edwards whereas Queensberry’s don’t. Probably the easiest upgrade you’ll ever make.

Don’t recall hearing from Warren tonight either whereas with Matchroom shows you have Hearn interviews after every single fight.

I had it comfortable for Essuman. Has Taylor won a fight since Ramirez? Four years ago. He got beat by Catterall in the first as well. What a fall from grace. He had a few good wins back then. Postol was a bit past it but still a good win. Prograis was a live one back then. Ramirez too. He comfortably beat other decent boxers. Personal favourite was smashing Davies. I think he’ll box on for the money but he will need an easy touch to get a win. He’s totally gone now. I think he’d make a great pundit if nothing else on the horizon. Essuman seems a great man. Congratulations to him!
