Just a pity Taylor has lost the belts that should have already been Catterall's

That's what happens when you finally step up and fight someone who's actually good, any one can look great vs mediocre opposition. 140 has been dire in terms of quality fighters during Taylor's reign. The fact that both Lopez and then Haney moved up and utterly dominated the 2 best 140lbers of this era proves that. I'm sure Davis and Shakur could do the same if they moved up.

Fact is Taylor was never ATG material and always overrated due to him unifying a really weak division and even then he probably wasn't the best 140lber of his era as the Catterall fight showed. I'm confident Catterall will repeat his performance of the first fight and school Taylor again, Taylor has no answer for Catterall's counters, shoulder defence and clinches which prevents him from working inside where he has always used his size to bully his smaller opponents, which then exposes just how poor a boxer he is from a distance.

Taylor has outgrown 140, and is not doing himself any favours IMO - after Ramirez he said 140 was too much and was moving up, then he said after Catterall the weight cut affected him and was moving up to 147, then after Teo he said it again - he couldn't feel his legs in 2nd half of the fight.

Whilst Catterall is obviously unfinished business, I don't think it's a great fight to make for Taylor, unless he changes something dramatically in his camp and makes weight better - but El Gato might always be a bad style matchup for Taylor.

But it was probably the biggest money fight he could make at this stage...

Reckon they should make Josh come in first for this one, since Catterall is 'defending'

This fight is good enough.................It's a rematch and a crossroads fight rolled into one..............Not sure why everyone is so aggravated. They fought in 2022, it's only 2024 it's not like it's 2026

At this point, Taylor’s entire camp will revolve around trying to make weight rather than actually preparing for a fight. I can’t see anything other than JC making him look like complete garbage again.
