    Round 1 Taylor 10-9

Ramirez had a moment of success, the ref of the round belonged to Josh.

Ramirez really filled up since the weigh in, he looks huge for a 140 fighter

    Taylor:1,
    Ramirez:

Taylor pushing out the southpaw jab, Ramirez has a flash, no dice; just feeling out one another's positioning, Taylor lands a solid body punch after feinting his way in and then pivots. Ramirez goes back behind his gloves and shows him a footwork feint. Grappling, Taylor edges the inside contest for strength and activity both, loose now, double jabs from Taylor, this is a clear 65 seconds for the Scotsman. The rhythm of the fight is so much for him, and so far so good. Taylor pushes Ramirez back with a feinted jab, then rips an uppercut, goes half-way home, Ramirezlands a decent bodyshot, crowd goes crazy. T these clines are contested. Hot two minutes. Good left-handed work from Ramirez, relaxed, lands two cool shots, not much on them, but he looked relaxed and was well positioned in landing them. They swap bodypunches. Ramriez is doing a good job, suddenly, of crowding Rmariez. He didn't get a lot done - but he controlled the real estate for the final minute. Interesting.
