Ive always fancied Taylor to get the nod but I think he's going to have to drop, visibly hurt,and/or get Ramirez backing up..something I've not seen anyone do to Ramirez.if it's close I can see Ramirez getting it.hometown advantage and a partisan crowd to deal with aswell.

I think Taylor takes this but the last 4 rounds will be very close.

Very good points. Fair play to him for taking the risk but I suspect he wasn't expecting to get this huge fight and end up fighting in front of about 4 viewers on fite TV. Arum is a strange guy in his old age.

Josh Taylor by early to mid rounds KO in a a very one-sided and easy fight.

After the fight, he will state that it was much easier than expected.

I think this is a cracking fight but i don’t think Ramirez presents the challenge people think he does. He’s relentless, but struggles with someone who can box and move. All his points / rounds come from when his opponents haven’t kept him off and he has managed to tag them enough to win. The problem is is that Taylor can a) outbox him and b) fight him and match his firepower. Taylor is brilliant in the pocket and that’s where Ramirez’s issues will come up - Taylor will be happy to box him on the outside and move (I’m sure Ben Davidson will encourage this) but when Ramirez does get through, and he will (he’s good enough to get to the inside on anyone eventually), Taylor will be happy to fight fire with fire and be able to keep it up.

If you look at the Hooker & Postol fights, they were both able to outbox Ramirez but when he got on the inside neither had the right strategy - Hooker wanted to fight back, couldn’t so tried holding and got stopped & Postol wasn’t busy enough (even though some still thought he deserved the nod.)

It’s a good fight but one if JT boxes to his potential he should look brilliant and then have his pick of anyone at LWW / WW for a massive fight next.

Good points. What worries me is Taylor's new trainer. Under Shane, he was on point, aggressive, in and out, all-around brilliant. Shane is excellent with his strategy. I don't have the same confidence in Ben Davison. Hopefully, Josh has enough about him to pull through but this Ramirez fella is determined and has a top-class trainer and corner.

I think the worries around Davidson are valid and certainly the more boxers we see with him the more we will understand his capabilities. I think the worry here is that Davidson doesn’t let Josh off the leash, and tells him to tie up or move away anytime Ramirez gets close. If Josh does that, he’s in trouble, because Ramirez has had a career of boxing people who do that so knows how to get someone who is on the run.

If Josh keeps some of his fire he showed against Prograis, and perhaps fine tunes his outside game, he should have enough.

Taylor on points simply because I don't rate Ramirez's win over Hooker. In my mind Hooker is overrated. However, I also think the fight being in Europe favored Taylor in the win over Prograis.

Taylor to really work the body and get a body-stoppage around 8/9/10

Could be Raimrez on the body tho, but think Josh will come through.

Excellent point. Had the fight been in USA Prograis could have easily got the nod.

Lets get talking about this fight again! **** all the nonsense of the heavies this is a genuine top level undisputed fight and is happening in a few days!!!!!

Also IF Taylor wins could you argue he had a tougher path than Crawford to 140 dominance?
