Whoever wins this fight has definitely done it in a better 140 than Crawford IMO. Taylor having beaten Postol, Barancyk and Prograis, Raimrez with slightly less quality / coroverys beating Zepada (possibly lost?), Hooker and Postol (should have lost).

IF he wins he has definetly beaten better fighters than Crawford did to become undisputed.crawford beat indongo for all the belts and prograis iced indongo in 2rds mere months later.

    Crawford best 5 wins- postol,dierry jean,Thomas dulorme,indongo,John Molina jnr.
Taylors - Vazquez, postol, baranchyk, prograis,Ramirez. It's clear Taylor will have beaten better fighters.Thats not me saying he is better than Crawford because I think he would beat Taylor but the list speaks for itself.

I think Taylor wins a razor tight points decision (possible a SD).

Maybe it's because I unfollowed Taylor due to his covid nonsense but I have seen hardly any hype for this fight. Zero promotion.

I've seen Ramirez a few times and not been that impressed by him, for a unified world champion hes weak. USA always overrate their fighters around this weight. Postol beat him. He's quite limited, just tough with a good chin really. I can't see how Ramirez can beat Taylor, unless there's a robbery decision

Unbelievable how under the radar Taylor is. For arguably our P4P number 1, no casuals know who he is. Yet they know Khan, Conor Benn , Josh Kelly, Eubank Jr. Lol.

    1) He's Scottish
    2) He wasn't really pimped much by Cyclone when he was with them, and then switched to Arum. Might be a bit different if he was with Matchroom.
    3) Whilst I personally think he comes across as pretty down to earth and likable in interviews and the like, he's had a couple of brushes with notoriety that has led to more than a few folks think he's a knob. He was charged for racist and homophobic slurs whilst bevvied, and although he made a grovelling apology (face to face with the target no less), that's the kind of stink that is hard to get rid of. Additionally he got involved in some Covid discussions that had some folks painting him as a Covid denier (he wasn't really, but he didn't really frame what he intended to get across particularly well).
    4) He's Scottish ;)

I'm looking forward to this fight. Both good fighters.
I think Taylor could box on the outside and make it easy for himself but I think Taylor will clash on the inside and thus it will be a great fight.
I'll go against the grain and pick Rameriz to win because Taylor chooses to fight on the inside too much.

Josh Taylor has much more variety in his offense, is a better mover and can fight as the matador, which is something Ramirez doesn't do; he's a bit one-dimensional. I think Ramirez's constant pressure and durability will serve him well in this fight. But here is the thing: if Josh Taylor boxes and moves well behind his jab, and drops inside for brief moments (he's a great inside fighter), I think he could really do a number on Ramirez. Taylor is the guy with more options from a strategic standpoint. No question. But it's crucial that he sides more on boxing than fighting. He might still win a firefight but a smart "hit-and-not-be-hit" approach would serve him better. That's Taylor problem at times—he wants to entertain by showing how BIG his balls are. Against Prograis he had to press the action and fight inside in my opinion, as Regis' busy jab and constant head movement meant that Taylor had to shrink the distance to be effective. In this fight he should look to reverse those tactics.

Cannot believe this fight is hidden away on PPV on an little known streaming channel.

No wonder boxing remains a minority sport.

Who is showing it in America? ESPN or DAZN?
