I've liked Prograis since the first time I laid eyes on him. The ''Rougarou'' moniker and the mask won me over right off the bat, his fighting style shortly after, and then his personality sealed the deal. He's very likeable guy.

Yeah they've fast-tracked Taylor for sure

16-0 and he's fought Rougarou, Postol, Baranchyk, Vasquez, Martin, and Davies and four of those were current or past world champions and four were undefeated too.

Great fight a definite FOTY candidate, i had it 115-113 Taylor, i hope we get to see this again. What the hell was the judge who scored 117-112 smoking??

I had it 115-113 Taylor and thought in the main he landed the more eye catching shots when it mattered. Quality fight though and massive props to Prograis whose stock doesn't deserve to go down at all after tonight

Wow just 16 fights and already on par with Crawfords resume, give or take the odd fight. He shouldn’t have much pressure on him if he moves up?If the PFP number two Crawford can ease into the division then im sure Taylor can.

After leaving Taylor's right flank bright red in the first round, I wonder why Prograis didn't keep digging in with that left hook after that?

Nope. There will be a huge double standard on it.

I doubt he’d beat Thurman just yet to be honest. You can see he’s still green and fights on instinct which his trainer said from day one he often did instead of listening to his corner.

Thurman isn't all that. He's a pot shotting runner. I think Taylor boxes well enough to handle Thurman, who by the way is only 5'7 and a half.

JT was stepping up to the plate against Crawfy's first or at worst second best win (Postol) when he was only 12-0 and had never been past 9 rounds before, whereas, conversely, Crawfy was 28-0 when he fought Postol, had been into the 10th or beyond 5 times, and it was his 7th world title fight. Taylor was giving away 4'' in reach to Postol as well whereas Crawford had a slight reach advantage against the Ukrainian and a 5lb weight advantage on top of that.
