Both men looked less than stellar in their recent outings with Taylor suffering his first defeat (many say second) at the hands of a seemingly rejuvenated and extra motivated Teofimo. Prograis, according to some, barely scraped by an unheralded opponent. How do you see a rematch playing out? I think if Taylor doesn't opt to go straight to 147, this is a fantastic match up as both men would be angling to re-cement elite status after subpar outings.
Prograis was extremely close to beating him the first time.................he get's the job done the 2nd time
First fight was awfully close and I am not one of those that thinks Taylor was suddenly shot or faded, he simply had a weakness to counter punchers who fight from range exposed with Catterall and then Lopez. So I suspect it will be very competitive again. I think it's going to come down to how Taylor deals with his first legit loss. Does he mentally fold? If so he loses, but if the loss relights a fire in him then he probably beats Prograis again. Fact is Prograis isn't going to move much or try and counter Taylor as he comes in, he'll fight like he always does, lead and rely on his speed and power and so Taylor's weakness to counter punchers won't be exposed for a 3rd time, he'll have an opponent that would stand right in front of him and allow him to work at his best range and play to his strengths.
