I'll reserve judgement until he steps up a level to a Barthelemy type opponent. I think he's the goods and he passes the eye test. His amateur pedigree has suited him well and i'm impressed with his defense albeit he fought a very predictable and slow boxer in Ohara Davies.

I think now that we're seeing Ricky Burns on the decline, it's great that this kid has burst onto the scene. He's brash and cocksure on social media and in pressers and in the ring he's showed that he's ruthless (landing on Ohara when he quit) but he's exactly the kind of fighter that the Scottish fans need right now to look up to and get excited about. I'm personally not into the media trained robots that some promoters try to produce not only in boxing but other sports too. Good luck to him.
