If he was confident of winning his mandatory that fight would have already happened. Warrington is a big fish in his home city and seems happy to keep it that way by concentrating on his twitter account.
Why wudnt he be confident his beat him 3 times. Hearn imo has a plan which doesn't involve a rematch as it makes him no money (non ppv and won't b much interest after a awful first fight) he will get kid a vacant shot against dickens when warrington unifies and moves up. It keeps the belt in the stable. Win win for hearn.
Ye, good point. Maybe the money isnt there either. This is a unification, assuming Xu is superchamp. And both lads deserve paying well. You'd of thought that if both lads could earn more over in China then that's what would be done.
He did fight Selby Frampton and Galahad in fairness. He isn’t boxing outside of Leeds as he does massive numbers there. You wouldn’t take a significant pay cut in your job to appease others.
Hearn says next 2 UK shows announced next week. One in Feb and one in March. Imagine Warrington Feb and Whyte March
Selby was over 2 and a half years ago. Frampton 2 years. In the last 18 months he hasn't faced anyone in the top 200. Warrington sold the Galahad fight as his last fight in Leeds. 4 months later they were giving tickets away for his next Leeds fight. "Appease others"?? Warrington has been on TV enough times droning on about his footy mates going to Vegas and China.
Don't worry I'm sure hearn will find a slot on warrington undercard for kid.. What baffles me is why isn't kid all over twitter calling for the rematch and calling hearn out for not making the rematch. His active enough on social media.
Am looking foward to Josh fighting unification fight with Xu Can on DAZN Aust Feb . This content is protected
I heard Pedvetkin continuing to suffer long term effects of Covid so a new opponent looks on the cards. Hopefully a fresh fight such as Bakole or Joyce in there with Whyte next but would not rule out Pudding Chisora 3 on a pay per pudding special price of £26.99 - the £1 increase being Toe Haye's cut of the PPV sales.
