Josh Warrington v Mitchell Smith @128lbs

Ye mate i know josh. But i do have to say that if i thought he was a underdog or incapable in any fight i would say so. When he won the english and selby was british there was talk going round of them been matched. At that time i was one of the 1st to say that he wasnt ready for selby so i dont have the fan mentality regarding josh. It will be interesting to see how he deals with brunker and in that sentance im refering to the smarts going on not the physical abilitys. If he ticks all the the psychological boxes in the brunker fight and beats him well then i think hes might be ready for selby. Im his last performance he was underpar and although he won every rd there was something missing that night.
Lets see if he has fully understood and puts right what that was.
Re. Smith its a pointless talkingpoint. He aint coming down and josh aint going up. Hes been getting airtime off calling josh out and whilst u could argue that makes good buisness sense its all bull. The kid hasnt done anything yet he isnt the hardest puncher in boxing as he says but his k.o rate doesnt reflect. He doesnt call anyone out in his own div and all in all he acts like the mouthy kid at the front of a gang who runs of once it kicks off like it did when townend was made mand
Im also looking fwd to the townend v glover fight nxt wk that should be ok. Also jamie speight vs isaac lowe fight should be evenly matched. Theyre both enlish title fights that are pretty evenly matched imo

 

Had a tweet off hearn saying one of the english title fights will b shown live but didn't say which one. The selby one is a tough fight but i think josh can cause a few problems and make selby work. People havnt seen josh counter his very good. All his tv fights his been the aggressor.

 

Thats a good point uv brought up there mate. He can box and counter on the back foot as well which we haveng seen him doing since hes been headlining the leeds shows.

 

it might come across bias but imo warrington toughest fight was against chris male( my cuz) for vacant English title. Josh won but didn't have it all his own way but coped well under pressure and took some good shots. Their is deffo a side of him the sky followers havnt seen. Samir pressured him for 3 rounds then gased. Chris and josh went at it hard for 10 solid rounds.

 

No mate warrington has said that tho in a interview with steve wood( on vip utube) proir to him winning European title. Ringside had a short clip of the fight on.

 

Ye mate he does consider the male fight for the english title his hardest pro fight. It was a real tough fight for both lads. They both had to dig deep that night

Both lads were in great shape was action packed both taking good shots. I had josh winning by 2 same as his corner.

Shaun spent a good 15mins with my son after the fight at ringside. My lad was up set and shaun was great with him. Then we spoke in changing rounds top bloke.
