Didn't see the fight just the highlights this morning looked a real good fight so can't comment on the result. Listening to interviews seems a slow start cost warrington but also a good start by lopez. Looked like warrington still has options for potential fights. Talk of nick ball who dodged a British title fight is a bit far fetched tho. Can see jw v wood happening

I was out for Christmas lunch last night and have now watched the DAZN / Matchroom event from yesterday and they need to be careful not to put too much WWE in it in their eagerness to sell future fights.

Takes all sorts I suppose. But no one can objectively say that the level of skill and athleticism on display here is anything other than woeful. And if were being honest, even the so called 'high level' women's boxing is still utter shite. We all know it but people still insist on carrying on with their Emperor's New Clothes routine.

I saw a 'highlights' clip of Savannah Marshall vs Claressa Shields and it was Marshall almost falling over her feet as she threw jabs from about 5 foot out of range, while Shields was windmilling hooks from her ankles. Terrible. But for a lot of people the massive disconnect between what we are being told and what we can see with our own eyes doesn't seem to matter and they mindlessly lap up any old rubbish.

 

DAZN UK should not use Andy Lee as a co-commentator on future broadcasts.

 

Andy Lee was completely hopeless in the role of co-commentator. Going forward, DAZN UK / Matchroom can use him as an expert / analyst in the studio.
