    Round 9

McDonnell is flicking jabs and slapping out light left hooks while backing up, getting cracked with right hands over the ear and heavy scoops into the midsection. McDonnell is forced to retreat as Wale spanks either side of his body, hands down and chin up, drilled with a straight right. McDonnell is hurt and running. Wale bulls into him, grinding his shoulder into McDonnell's chest to guide him into the ropes and working the body.

    10-9 Wale

    86-85 Wale

Great fight, Wale and both of them in fairness have a good engine and chin.

Nice to see Quigg being introduced as a 'world title holder' as opposed to 'champion'.. Co-incidence? :yep

To be fair, Wale's two stoppage losses (to Ramogoadi and Galahad) both came on cuts.

    Round 10

McDonnell is landing counter 1-2s as Wale comes in with the wing-dropping hook. Uppercut by McDonnell catching Wale jumping in with another combo. McDonnell is moving and popping the jab, still getting caught on the face with right hands and left hooks but laying a much higher quantity of leather on Wale as he adjusts his spacing.

    10-9 McDonnell

    95-95 Wale

    Round 11

McDonnell is circling into the ropes, getting tagged on the stomach and chest with light digs from Wale. McDonnell pushes free, gets a bit of distance and tosses quick straight flurries out into Wale's guard and forehead. Wale presses in and lands a right hand lead on the jaw, then draws back and doubles it up while McDonnell is selling out with a dusting of quick swipes on the body. Right, left, right, left pumping in straight by Wale madly, the first right landing beneath the chin and the rest scattering to the winds.

    10-9 Wale

    105-104 Wale
