That is not even remotely close to what I said. Furthermore, I took no pleasure in watching the bad beating that Josh Warrington took.

What I did say (and revel in) is that it is a bad card for Matchroom, Eddie Hearn and Sky. My reaction tonight is the same as my reaction on the night of Anthony Joshua vs Andy Ruiz Jr. because both cards were disastrous for Matchroom, Eddie Hearn and Sky.

On the AJ card, obviously AJ got KO'd bad, Josh Kelly got a "draw" in a fight everyone thought he lost and Katie Taylor got possible the worst robbery decision ever, over Delfine Persoon. Nightmare card.

Tonight, Reece Mould is getting favorable referee whilst he is being dirty, and the commendatory is completely biased in his favor. then in the main event, the unheralded 22 year old club fighter dominates and viciously KO's the home fighter. Another nightmare.

The corruption, the Joseph Goebbels style of commentary that is nothing but propaganda, the dodgy judges cards, the referee that always subtly (and sometimes overtly) helps the home fighter and probably a whole plethora of things behind the scenes, is ugly as hell. It makes me want to support the fighter who has to overcome MUCH more than just the fighter in front of him.

I have nothing against Josh Warrington. I hope he is well and has no lasting damage. I also want to see him back at the world level, but if he decides to give it up, like Oleksandr Gvozdyk, then I wish him the best in retirement. Sure, I thought Warrington lost to Kid Galahad, that even his quiet fans knew he lost in that moment, that he should never have given up his belt and that he should have taken the Galahad rematch, but all that still doesn't mean I even wanted to see him lose, much less get destroyed.

Exactly this, he wasn't himself in there because he was being tagged hard, when you keep getting caught with hard punches it causes you to doubt yourself and make you more aware because you don't want to get knocked out.

Fair enough, although it didn't come across very well earlier, also... you can't expect everyone to know what's in your heart. However, I do get letting your emotions get the best of you in the moment... a little too well. Regardless, even if I dislike a fighter, I tend to get pissy when I see people cheering on too much after a vicious KO loss. But I totally get where you're coming from in regards to the **** commentary team, **** judging and Matchroom and Eddie in general, as do most rational non biased fans.

I didn't say the fights weren't comparable. I said Lara isn't comparable to Martinez. Given that Martinez is an upper echelon P4P talent and one of the best in the world, and Lara makes Antonio Margarito look like Joe Louis.

He was buzzed early on and was getting slowly dismantled before eating the monster shot in the 4th round.

Lara looked so big and strong in there and you could hear the weight in his shots.

Biting down hard and trading was courageous from Warrington but the writing was already on the wall, it was not a matter of if just of when.

How he survived the 4th round I'll never know, that's testament to the lad.

Warrington is nothing without a full Leeds crowd, we’re not seeing that for a while so his career is over.

It was an AJ-Ruiz situation. Josh got rocked early in the first, but still managed to win it on activity, the next two were competitive, but in the 4th, he walked onto a massive hook that floored him, and he was beaten senseless until the bell, and he never really recovered, legs or senses. But he did show what a tough mother****er he was in there tonight.

I think so. Round after round of punches that were hard, but not hard enough to KO him. Deffo concussed after the 4th and with his legs gone couldn't get out of range. God knows how many head punches he took in rounds 5-9, but it was A LOT. Totally unnecessary punishment, anyone with eyes could see he was gone at the end of the 4th. And it was Howard Foster too. He of Froch vs Groves 1.....

Yeah you can't question his heart that's for sure. The ref should have stopped it though in the 4th, even when he came back out for the 5th you could see he didn't know what day of the week it was.

He's basic enough like Margarito, just wades forward eating shots and swinging thudding blows to body and head. Neither that fast, neither too fleet of foot. Margarito is obviously a good bit better in each department but Lara is basically a lesser version of him.
