Joshua’s meltdown

It’s a big shame really. I felt AJ performed brilliantly, a lot better than I thought he could do against Usyk. He came back and did a better job than last time against a fighter as great as Usyk.

But that tantrum, it left a terrible taste. I know a lot of people think AJ deserves some slack but the way he threw the belts down then took Usyk’s flag, going on about “bad stuff” in the Ukraine, it was just disrespectful.

The man’s country is being destroyed and he takes centre stage like that. I guess you can say he was concussed, personally I think he believes he is bigger than boxing and has too many yes men around. He needs to come back down to earth a bit.

 

He thinks they were his belt. Probably called the Saudis after he calmed down and asked for them to fetch the belts for him from where he dropped them on the floor.

And you just know he is extra upset because he's been beat by a white man. Dillian Whyte also touched on this aspect of Joshua's mentality when he said the reason for him getting so shirty with Lennox Lewis for picking Fury to beat him is because of the racial element involved. Basically, Joshua thinks Lewis should stick by him because they are both black and not pick a white man to beat him lol. I reckon there is a lot of truth in that.

The bloke is just a bit of a nob and for 99% of the people still kissing his arse and making excuses for him, he wouldn't p1ss on them if they were on fire. Absolute mugs.

 

The Loughborough incident was good pretext for the meltdown we saw.

It was obvious then how fragile he is mentally, and the meltdown wasn’t surprising.

However Matchroom tried to spin the Loughborough thing, it was also very embarrassing for Joshua.

I'm not a multi millionaire boxing champion but I am big and if some little 8 stone student and his girlfriend shouted some mild insults at me, that were little more than a bit of banter, I imagine I would just laugh at them, move on and forget all about it as quickly as it happened. I certainly wouldn't storm up to their flat and start threatening them.

People getting carried away. What we,re seeing is a guy struggling with the pressures of fame. Imagine working hard everyday in a boxing gym to go home to see thousands of people everyday calling you a chinny robot. Again and again and again. Especially when at one point....you we,re the second coming to a lot of these same people. In the end it beats most of them.

You can take it when things are going well....but the reality is its just going to get worse. He,s probably put everything into that camp....only to fall short and know the next six months will just be a repeat of hes a chinny robot. Or useless etc. Just the pressures of fame.

He,ll come out the other side once he finally realises peoples opinions arent worth a slice of toast.

Terrible behaviour saturday i dont think thats an excuse for it. He does need to properly apologise to usyk and his team imo. Ruined the blokes big well deserved moment and acted like a spoiled brat.

Its not that hes a bad bloke tho joshua....just got caught up in the pressures and cost of fame. Cracks been there for a while. His big problem is he got sucked into it thinking his worth is based on someone elses opinion. We,ve all probably been there. Its fine when their all shouting hes a jolly good fella...but when that stops its hard to lose...especially when its replaced with disappointment.
