Yeah the discipline boxing brings is immense. I had a mate who was off the rails, nobody could rach him but then he started boxing and he changed. I guess learning the discipline of getting punched in the face and having to keep your cool really can help.
If you know anything about the power of marketing you know boxing couldn't BUY the exposure it's getting from Joshua. Of course it's benefiting boxing, AJ is a hero to millions of kids in this country, if even a small % of them decide to put the gloves on there could be future world champs in here. Shows like Whyte-Parker wouldnt be happening without AJ and theres room to shine on his undercards too. Anyone who doesnt think all this benefits the sport needs their heads checking. You dont hear them complaining about ricky atton fightinh laszcano at man city etc.
No doubt about that. I think it has a remarkably positive effect on mental health too, which is something that's surprisingly temperamental at secondary school age.
Nah it'll be povetkin in September. Fury IS conceivable for april though, if you follow him on insta he looks already 10lbs down from his comeback fight, i can see him being fully fit in 9 months time.
No way Fury gets a shot at AJ while his fighting low level opposition. He needs credible wins and the quickest way to AJ for him is beating Bellew.
not really, he could throw whyte in for the rematch at wembley and it would sell like **** on sky ppv and in tickets, the ball really is in hearns court
they already know that lol, they sold nearly 80k for aj vs pulev/takam who most average uk fans wont of heard of and it was an average undercard.
Yeah tbf I forgot about Whyte, but there's absolutely no guarantee that both will come through their next fights. I have Parker favourite against Whyte barring a tremendous robbery on the cards and I have Povetkin as favourite over Joshua for at least three rounds - he is totally capable of knocking Joshua the **** out IMO.
povetkin has no chance, aj could box like he did vs parker and win every round as povetkins is too small to get near him, wlak was aj's height and beat him up for 36 minutes, joshua will probably do tje same but in more brutal fasion, dont start thinking povetkin is a real threat because of the price fight, another 30 seconds in that round and povetkins career was over and we know price has a glass chin so it want impressive knocking him out. whyte will probably win a majority decision
Yeah you’re right. Americans have wrestling in their school/college system so I don’t see it doing any harm with us having boxing. Even just a boxercise sort of class, just pads, bags and some cardio, no sparring or anything.
You are employed by Matchroom ,i am convinced of it....Stadium fights are absolute **** btw I already told you it will be Povetkin then the winner of Whyte v Parker ...The big WWE grudge rematch
