    Erm no. Just no.

Whyte today is not the same Whyte of 2015. Joshua will be getting in with a very evolved opponent, physically and mentally.

There is nothing safe about Whyte, if there was Joshua would have offered him more money and not made a fuss about the rematch clause.

Whyte is very dangerous to AJ and out of anyone on the 5 man list. Younger, fresher, stronger, best resume.

    Whyte is the least likely.

Whyte v Joshua is Joshua's 3rd biggest potential fight. They are not going to throw that away with a 6 week build up in america. It's a huge uk ppv. Both are able to headline ppv's on their own here. They are not going to waste that at 3am!

You’re right it’d be nice but I try not to let that get in the way of how I assess fighters. It helps that I’m fairly certain we’re not getting one any time soon. Hunter’s just really quite good, something anyone with working eyesight should be able to deduce.

Can you explain to me why he is quite good as an opponent for AJ?

    Please.

Kownacki would be a good but dangerous fight

Ortiz was playing theater with Wilder. So i hope it wouldn't be the same story here.If he is only Wilder's guy for theater - ok, he's good and can cause troubles to Joshua, if he is ready to sell himself again, better someone else.
My opinion is that they will try to buy Ortiz, and only in that case the fight with him will happen.
Maybe it will be Hunter.2nd suggestion - Kownacki.

-Gave an a P4P top 10 fighter his hardest or second hardest fight, moreveover, he boxed on even ground with him for a short while
-schooled Bakole, yeah he felt it in the few instances he got hit, but Bakole stopped Wach....who wouldn’t.
    -crushed Ustinov
    - isn’t well past his prime like the Ortiz and to a lesser extent Pulev

Not saying he beats Joshua. That’s a very tall ask. But he’s a more deserving opponent than Miller, and about equally so to Pulev and Ortiz while being a potentially more difficult fight. If I’m not counting prospects, I think he and Whyte pose the biggest threat to Joshua outside of Fury, Wilder, and of course Usyk.

They put Luis Ortiz on there to tease people.

But it'll be Michael Hunter - who has no chance - because he's from the U.S. and he's signed with Hearn.

    You'd "love" to see Joshua-Hunter?

I'd love to see Joshua fight someone who has a chance. The only guy on the list who does is Luis Ortiz (puncher's chance). That's why it won't be him.

Hunter is a spoiler, like his dad. He's not a top 10 fighter, truthfully. He's not going to win a decision or score a ko over Joshua. He'd just be in there to try to survive a couple rounds. I don't think Joshua waited nine months to fight someone like that, and no one in the U.S. will care.

Hunter technique wise the most talented American HW. Schooled Bakole when a lot people on this forum were makng out his a better prospect than dubios and Gorman. Also proved to be Usyk toughest challenge after Briedis. Taken his last two fights on short noticed and impressed.

I reckon Hunter poses more of problem to AJ than Ortiz and obviously clearly more than the likes of kownacki and Charr.

Just look at the videos posted by Fannon and Blue Blood and the like and then look at the comments section. Full of nothing but Wilderettes bleating how AJ has spent his whole career ducking the Boogeyman of the division, Baba Yaga, the greatest Heavyweight never to win **** all, the one, the only Luis Ortizn't....!!!!

That is what Aydamn is getting at and that is why I too want to see AJ annihilate Ortiz, so that all the Wilderettes will finally STFU.

Hunter isn't very good. And he wasn't Usyk's toughest challenge. Danie Venter won more rounds against Usyk than Hunter did, and I don't want to see Joshua fight Danie Venter, either.

Hunter is a spoiler. Nothing more. I've been watching him since his amateur days. He's "just a guy." He ducks and dives for a couple rounds like his dad, lands a shot here or there to keep it interesting for a bit, because that's what spoilers do.

He's a good test for prospects.

But, that said, I think Hearn will select him.

Truthfully, if Hearn doesn't select Luis Ortiz, I think Hearn should cancel the New York fight and just stage Joshua-Whyte II in the UK.

Joshua needs a good fight after nine months.

Let's face it all 5 are stay busy fights for Joshua and so was Miller. Hopefully once this fight is over we get back to the top 3 facing each other. I know that's probably just wishful thinking
