Joshua against fury or wilder won't happen until summer 2022

Difference is Josh Tayor needed to take those big fights to generate interest. AJ can fight Pulev on PPV and make a fortune. They can wait for Fury to decline more and Wilder to lose that extra bit of speed.

 

I really don't think Tony Dosh PPV will fight any dangerous opponent whether it be Wilder, Fury, Usyk, Dubois v Joyce winner or Bakole.

Probably another 3 puddings after Pudding Pulev then off he sails into the sunset with the biggest bag of PPV loot in the history of boxthing.

Wlad at 41 is the only decent test on his CV so he won't change his formula now as long as the PPV mugths keep on giving.

 

Joshua's CV and level of opposition is miles beyond those two. Nobody seriously denies that. Fury has had two big fights and his next biggest is Chisora. Wilder is even worse. His best win is a very old man with lower back pain. I've compared him to David Tua before and I think that's a bit of a disservice to Tua.

 

What on earth has that got to do with what I said?

 

The notion suggested by you that Joshua would wait for opponents to get older/worse whilst said opponents have spent careers largely avoiding challenges is a perfectly normal point to make.

 

Well atleast they are fighting each other again I guess.

 

Tony Dosh PPV has fought 22 puddings and an old man at 41 years of age with 18 months inactivity.

The man loves a pay per pudding and the PPV mugths keep on giving mate.

Fury v Wider 1 was already an improvement on the Tony Dosh PPV CV and it is great to see the best 2 undefeated fighters in the division getting back into the ring with each other.

 

Wilder's best win is a against a guy he left until well past prime.

Maybe Joshua's taking a lead from Deontay?

 

He has faced a better opponent than Tony Dosh PPV has faced mate - twice when the bell goes in Feb

 

I agree on Fury but he only signed to fight him after watching him look a fat uncoordinated mess against Seferi and Pianeta. It was another cherry pick, but Fury surprised him.

This will be the first time he's faced a genuine top opponent in their prime* with no massive questions over their fitness or age.

After the Fury rematch. I cannot see Wilder ever stepping in the ring with AJ, Whyte or anyone else of that nature. Al Haymon controls Wilder and wants to keep the WBC HW belt in house.

If Wilder keeps his belt against Fury. I expect that for the rest of Wilder's career he will be facing very carefully selected inhouse fighters. At some point father time dictates one of those banjos him and takes the belt from him.

If Wilder doesnt keep his belt against Fury then I still expect him to only face inhouse fighters. His career fizzles out once he starts losing, which is inevitable if he fights on for long enough. As he is heavily reliant on athletic ability, agility and reflexes.
