According to Gareth A Davies and multiple news sources.

£15million to not fight someone! Wise decision as a business man as he would’ve probably lost and now will pocket that plus a massive amount for facing the winner.

Will Whyte step aside though? Or does Fury vacate or get promoted to franchise champion?

Whyte should step aside and fight AJ.
    It makes sense.
He would get a big payment to step aside, plus a huge payday, probably more than he'd get against Fury.

And after AJ batters him again, he can retire very rich and always claim he was avoided and ducked and denied a world title shot, the myth of Whyte would live on.

Whyte must know if AJ steps aside he has been mugged off a by Hearn who has always used him as a pawn.

The man is a total tool, best to be ignored. His previous account, the one showcasing his massive chin, got deleted.

Just a matter of time before this one gets the boot as well.

Makes total sense for Joshua to do this, he needs to improve to beat Uysk/Fury, gives him chance to fight a bum, work on new things, pocket a load of cash and fight the winner.

Hopefully Whyte ****s off now. Either way not even arsed if Fury vacates to be able to fight Uysk.

Undisputed bout with everything on the line, dropping the WBC belt shouldn't be an option.

Everything is on the line though. People know who the real champions are, being made to drop a belt to be able to make the fight that actually means something won't matter one jot.

Whoever picks up the what would be meaningless WBC belt wouldn't be seen as the real champion anyway.

Great for the sport if true, but not a good look for AJ.

    I disagree.

Fighting for the spoils of war SHOULD be the absolute pinnacle, always. You're absolutely right that the fighting public would still see Fury as the big willy of the division, but I'd rather see all the belts involved in this.

Not really arsed what happens with the belts after mind. As long we get to crown an undisputed king before the fighter gets stripped.

If Fury has to drop the belt in order to make the fight happen then he should for sure but not without causing a stir.

All depends what Joshua is in this for

Obviously he's extremely rich already Is it more about legacy and being champ and ego getting revenge on usyk (which no doubt he will get very well paid )

Or if it's solely money ,may as well make massive cash for step aside be silly not too if that's his sole purpose

And still, 10 years down the line people will remember the winner as one of the guys that didn't manage to bring all the belts back together.
During the Klitschko era it was the WBA belt that kept alluding the brothers for quite some time, and no matter how paper the holders eventually became, (remember Valuev's second reign?) people still saw them as legit somehow.
Then it happend to the WBC belt after Vitali vacated. All the way up till nowadays.
And Wlad is remembered as the man, but the one who could never unify completely.
Politics are the hardest thing to beat in boxing, no matter how much better you are as your opponents.

Which is why it doesn't matter one bit anymore. In the world of the internet forums/Twitter/Facebook/Tik-Tok/ Reddit (Adaymn looking at you here) people know a lot more now. Its obviously nice to have a unified champion, but its ****ing moronic how the governing bodies act and the rankings work.

Its about time they got ****ed off completely for a more fairer system.

The winner of Fury/Uysk will be king of the division. WBC belt in hand or not.

Great news for the division if true. Hope this happens - Joshua vs Whyte 2 in the interim with a shot at the winner. Everyone’s a winner in this situation.
