The international one actually (Povetkin has the Silver), but that's the reason indeed. Beat some pushover for a vacant international belt and you instantly take a top10 rank
Joshua is another Audley Harrison or David Price both those guys looked like world beaters against the domestic bums they were fighting. Whe they stepped up their Glass Jaws were brutally shatterd.
I dont understand how Stiverne had to fight Wilder as his mando half a year after winning the belt while Wilder can go fight a bum in a voluntary 5 months after winning the belt. This WBC is a weird organisation. People always say they want a US fighter to hold the belt and they are OK to bend their own rules to make it happen. I suppose that opinion is factual.
If a unification is possible, I dont think WBC can strip Wilder for taking it. They might not like the idea, but their belt will simply be too pointless. Imagine Wilder beats Wlad while 2 boxers are fighting for the "vacant" WBC belt. It will simply be a ridiculous event.
You know Ive never given it a thought. It will truly be hilarious if Geale becomes the lineal champ in GGGs division - which isnt too unlikely anyway.
In the words of the great Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua is: "Nuffin but a stiff idiot, for sure :blood" WBC is a joke. Above Thompson, Arreola and even Chisora seems a stretch. Sulaiman family= dons of boxing.
Neither fighter looked like world beaters even at British level.harrison struggled with bums and it was evident very early on he was terrified to take a punch, price although he was knocking out bad opposition had the most robotic and un natural fighting style and it was known his chin wasn't good. Joshua is big, fast hands, good power, doesn't have any obvious flaws and is doing what he's expected to do in double quick time.hes had 12 fights,he's not going in with a top 10 fighter for another 3-4 fights yet and neither should he,apart from injuries hes fighting every other month or so and needs some rounds-experience.which other hw champs of the past wer fighting top 10 contenders in their 12th fight ?
The rankings of the belts are not supposed to be a descending list of who is better than who. They are an order of contendership for the belts. Why do fight fans not understand this? That being said, Joshua at #6 is insane.
