AJ has beaten several people with better resume than Wilder in Wlad, Povetkin Whyte and Parker.

Yes, with a resume you can look at all wins. Joshua’s are much better than Wilder’s and Fury’s for example.

True, and his LOSS to Ruiz is far worse than anything on Wilder's or Fury's too.

Tony Hayers lacks knowledge within the boxthing ring but is an encyclopedia of knowledge related to the male brown ring

    Hilarious.

AJ fanboyz claiming 'masterclass' when it was an absolute stinker yet when Fury puts on masterclasses against ELITE boxers they call it a stinker and boring. I like Ben Davidson's assessment, a poor man's Fury performance.

    talk about double standards.

Far out people are obsessed with 'resumes' on this forum lol (mainly AJ fans). Beating B/C level opponents like Martin/Breazeale/Ruiz/Parker means nothing when coming up against the elite and it's an inaccurate way of trying to split who is the best . Usyk's had 1 fight at HW against a low level opponent in Chazz Witherspoon but we all know how good he is, same as Wilder with his insane power and Fury who has the best ring IQ in the division.

Good on AJ for yesterday's display, he did what he had to, stayed disciplined and learned from his mistakes so well done to him for that, but lets be honest here, he should never have lost to Ruiz in the first place. Parker had already shown how it should have been done in the 2nd half of their fight 3 years ago. At the same time though, it will be interesting going forward to see AJs style he goes in with for future fights. Was yesterday's performance due to the style he came up against, or are we gonna see him fighting like that permanently from now on even when he comes up against lower level contenders such as Pulev, Whyte etc?

Usyk could end up getting splattered by Wilder and Joshua and lose every round against Fury. We don’t know until he steps up.

The point with a resume is that if you generally look above domestic standard you progress and so on. Of course it means more if you beat the elite, but not every fight can be against the elite. If Fury and Joshua both end up with Klitschko being their biggest win, Joshua’s record will look better for having Parker, Whyte, Ruiz and Povetkin on it than Fury’s will with Seferi, Pianeta, Schwarz and Wallin.

We rate Lennox Lewis because he beat Tyson and Holyfield. But part of his rating over time is based on him beating Briggs, Tua, Grant and Rahman when Tyson was farting around with Julius Francis.

Who went on a coke and eating binge, retired, vame back after years out, looked poor against Piantterta and went life and death with a fighter outside the top 40 in Wallin.

Fair point and I get what you're saying but the best will be decided when the big 3/4 (I include Usyk) sort out their rubbish and get in with each other and if AJ comes out of it as the best then yeah, those lower level opponents can be included with the elite to enhance his legacy, but right now, it means nothing. Sure, Fury's faced a lot of low level contenders and yes I know you hate the guy with a passion, but a draw with Wilder away from home where most had him winning (myself included) is a far better achievement that beating Takam, Martin, Breazeale, past it Povetkin, Ruiz, Parker etc.

point being Joshua is number 1, has the best wins and best record of any active HW

sure he has lost, but wilder would have lost more than once if he had fought who joshua has and fury probably would have as well.

but until wilder and fury step up and fight the top guys they dont deserve any respect, joshua does.

Point being none of them have beaten any of the others bar Joshua and Fury both beating Klitschko. Yes they need to fight each other, but in terms of trying to go after the best, Joshua is the one doing it.

What would you be saying if Joshua had said he might rematch Ruiz some time down the line, but for the next twelve months minimum he was fighting Schwarz and Wallin?

    yes

why, lets see he beat AJ and imo he probably deserved a win over parker.

Ortiz is a myth, a reputation based on nothing. Even the fat ruiz from last night would spark him, he is old as feck and is more chinny than Joshua. His best win being bryant jennings some 4 years ago...takam, parker, whyte, povetkin and ruiz would all beat him.
