was joshua overhyped by the casual and his promoter? of course but joshua himself was always down to fight the best and give his best. something you can't say about the other heavyweigh champions that ruled during his run as champion.

I'd say fury getting school'ed by a MMA fighter on his boxing debut was way worse for boxing on the "biggest stage in saudi" as you claim.

"Joshua is the worst champion in the history of boxing" is just a dumb take.

Joshua's two fights against Usyk alone prove that he is an elite fighter and he has provided us a lot of entertainment. He has been good for "modern boxing." Maybe not great but definitely good or very good.

Joshua is not an elite fighter, only the media portrayed him as such, Hrgovic and Miller offered better resistance to Dubois, while Joshua fell on his ass after the first punch...

I don't understand the details of the original post, but we shouldn't get caught up in details all the time.
The struggles of superior genes and fate in the sands of Arabia, the rise and fall of ebonic pharaohs and bidniz, it's not for us to understand.
What matters is that the main theme is correct.

Literally the most protected brand boxing has ever known. Ever single opponent a calculated day at the market from English capitalists.
Utter scumbag street criminal dressed up by corporate PR.
    Bully fighter quitter.
    Epic hypocrite.

Having a better chin does not equal being a better fighter

A 2 time world champion is elite (obviously within the competition around at the time) despite it not fitting with your clear dislike of the man

Ah, huge fight attendances at Wembley and Cardiff. Iconic win over Wlad at home in a back and forth fight.

Getting caught by Ruiz once and losing to Usyk shouldn't count too much against him. He's dropped off in recent years but he's had a positive impact if anything.

And Joshua gave two good fights to Usyk, especially in the rematch. I wonder how a Usyk vs Dubois rematch would go?

Not really a natural fighter and had clear limits but he was a huge mainstream star and draw who consistently fought solid competition and gave us a bunch of big stadium fights. Remove his presence from the last 10 years of boxing and it would have absolutely been worse off commercially. The HW division would never have become revitalized to the degree it was without him.

Joshua, the former champion and alleged elite fighter, only managed to land two serious punches against a significantly smaller opponent, what an achievement xD

The world champ getting beaten up by a 37 year old debutante from another sport was definitely the worst thing to happen to modern boxing.

I think someone like Tank Davis is far more egregious.
