Nah don't see the comparison. Briggs career was smoke a mirrors for the most part, nobody thinks he beat Foreman other than the judges that scored the fight, he had one good moment against a reckless Lewis who quickly adjusted and firmly put him in his place. Physically both were athletic and had vulnerable chins to some extent, but in terms of actual ability Joshua was levels above Briggs. Briggs wouldn't even beat the Wlad, Povetkin, Pulev, Parker and Ruiz that Joshua beat. I even him vs the green Whyte that Joshua beat is a near 50/50 as both had terrible gas tanks and could KO each other with one punch, though I lean towards Briggs.
Briggs will remain in my memories as one of the toughest chins I've seen in a fight, when fighting Klitschko. My personal theory is that Briggs back then was in state of depression and his mind didn't care getting punched to the head, so he wouldn't get KOd. It was way before his let's go champ era. I would never imagine Joshua's chin being even closesly as resistant as Briggs'.
