    Wow.

Boxxer just announced a US TV deal with NBC Sports/Peacock. Their first card is Saturday live from London featuring the light heavyweights Joshua Buatsi vs. Dan Azeez.

    Sounds great.

Saturday afternoon boxing on NBC Sports.

I'm beyond thrilled about this, since I'm already a Peacock subscriber due to their Cycling and Wrestling content.:ARMS1:

Any new outlet for boxing is good news so I'm all in.

That being said, In March 2015 NBC made a big deal out of bringing boxing back to prime time on network television. They were the first prime time fights on NBC in three decades. They had Al Michaels on the call with color commentary by Sugar Ray Leonard Unfortunately, Leonard is naturally sleep inducing and boxing is not Michaels' best sport. The first card, put together in conjunction with PBC, was of high quality. It was a difficult watch even though the bouts were pretty good. It went downhill after that and NBC slinked back into the shadows less than a year later

Hopefully, this foray into the squared circle does better.
