The only thing you were scrupulous about was completely ignoring everything Craig Richards did for the first six rounds.:D

This was a fight with plenty of of extremely close rounds that could have gone either way. That’s not a robbery. I picked Richards beforehand but Buatsi 7-5 was a perfectly reasonable score, as was Richards 7-5

Hardly. Buatsi won those rounds - as I saw it - and I was hardly alone in that judgement.

Again, this is a subjective exercise, particularly in close, competitive fights such as this. Rigid certitude on these matters is inappropriate.

On reflection most of the "close" rounds would consist on bustsi starting fast for the 1st 30 seconds, becore taking most of the round off and then going again when he heard the clapper for the last 10 seconds of the round.

    With most shots being blocked.

I'm going to re-watch the fight tomorrow before reconsidering.

I'll be doing the same tomorrow.

I'm Always more objective on the re-watch. More so if you've had a few beers on the first watch.

In the meantime I'll have a few more , the night is young.

I saw a similar pattern but with Buatsi often winning battle of the jabs in the lul periods. I thought this was about as close as they come, about 8 rounds that weren’t particularly decisive. I’ll watch again tomorrow as well and see what I think on second viewing.

There is a reason why Hearn has rejected the Callum Johnson and Bivol fights for Buatsi. As well pulling out last minute of the Vlasov fight.

The career plan for Buatsi is to wait around until someone beatable picks up a belt or an existing champion gets very old, then buy the belt off them.

I am quite high on both Princes Dmitry Bivol of Russia an Buatsi of Ghana who come from royal lineages. Tsar Arthur might be under threat.

Markus on a serious note are you actually saying the Promoter Eddie Hearn should not make Bivol vs Buatsi match because you think Bivol will beat him up? Win or lose it will be a tougher match than Canelo was for Bivol who I think is the best Light Heavyweight in the world. Don’t underestimate the input of Virgil Hunter into Buatsi.

Buatsi is also an undefeated Olympian. Yes it’s time. We need to find out how good he really is.

No, let me know when i said Hearn shouldn't make Bivol vs Buatsi ?

I said Bivol would toy with him, and at best Buatsi wins a couple of rounds only to gas and get laid out on the floor, being left as a husk of a man, gasping for air. He would beat the crap out of Buatsi, and now that you mention it, i hope they make that fight just so you can see another one of your guys falling. Vergil Hunter is overrated and got lucky with a talented experienced fighter in Ward

I must confess I gave the first 7 rounds to Buatsi though they were competitive. I think Spider Richard’s is one of those fighters you think can always do more which is maddening. He lacks that extra devil which was the difference last night. Buatsi is quality.

Keep your hair on Markus I am merely asking you a question because I wanted to clarify your thoughts. I did not come here to abuse you.
