    Round 1 Buatsi 10-9

    Feel out round, both jabbing, neither landing much. Buatsi hits him in the back, abd Pawel bizarrely turns and walks off, Buatsi jumps on him, then he shells up. Buatsi starting to open up, lands a combo. Then Pawel lands two decent rights. Both trading one twos to the head and body, neither landing all that clean.

    Stepiens is game, in very, very good shape and has good movement. Also quite fast.

    Having watched Buatsi since he turned pro I actually feel he has regressed somewhat in terms of fluidity and putting punches together, he used to have more variety offensively imo.
    Now he is a little more responsible defensively but also has a much lower output and is easier to read

    Pawel probing with and falling short with jabs. Buatsi probing with and landing his. Pawel attempting some clubbing hooks, missing most of them.Buatsi hurts him with a left hook to the body and right to the head, Pawel then fires back a combo. Pawel landing some weak one twos. Buatsi jabbing to the body. Lands some up top.

    So far the difference is Buatsi's fast, sneaky jab. But if Stepien started throwing his right, I think that would be a game changer.

    Pawel out looping his left hook out, grazing his temple, but it has nothing on it. Pawel goes for an uppercut, partially blocked. Buatsi standard issue one twos, and jabbing. Pawel attempts a combo up top, most of it blocked. Buatsi snapping his head back with the jab. Loops in a hook to the body of Pawel. Pawel lans a weak left hook to the head, Buatsi with another hook to the body. Pawel dancing around a lot, looking for an opening and angle. Can't find one. So he's just jabbing. they're both tentative as hell and fighting scared.
