Probably fixed in the contract. Give it a go for 4 rounds and then quit in the corner. Well...at least Simion gave it a go. But he should retire if he quits after such a fight. You have to respect the performance though. He tried.

I don't understand how they can allow a guy to fight with the kind of beard Buatsi has. He could stick in a guys eye
or rub it against a guys face to get a cut open.

Decent start for Bellotti but Ford figures him out and lands some nasty counters. One left hook stunned Bellotti. Bellotti with some pressure late but lands nothing at all.

Round 2: 10-9 Bellotti close

Ford just too quick and elusive. And Bellotti has no skills on the inside. Just lunging in with wide hooks. Poor game plan and poor skillset. Ford is relaxed and lands some counters but nothing special. Bellotti lands a nice right hook. Nice right hand by Bellotti. Ford very inactive in the last minute. Not sure why. Bellotti backs him up and lands some short punches on the ropes. Bellotti probably stole the round in the last minute.

Bellotti getting countered by a huge shot, he's hurt bad, Ford unloads with a shitload of punches, Bellotti still stays on his feet but he's getting completly battered and doesn't go down and doesn't throw back so the ref jumps in and stops it. Nice killer instinct and finish by Ford.

 

That was early stoppage, Belloti could've taken a knee and all would be fine but pffft.

 

It wasn't an early stoppage. He wasn't going down. And he wasn't throwing back. And Ford unloaded with a shitload of punches. Stoppage was fine. Bellotti could have avoided it though with - as you said - a simple knee. Instead he decided to stay on his feet and eating punches for like 20 seconds.

Yeah that was some poor decision making on the part of Belloti but I kinda dislike it when ref stops when the other fighter is clear-eyed however the fighter's health is more important my entertainment, so there's that.

 

Should've picked more aggro tunes.
