By the way : How many boxers has Eddie Hearn / Matchroom shaped and built from scratch to the world elite in recent times?
Well he has never built anybody from scratch to world elite. Some good champions in joshua and Smith. Can't think of anybody else??????
Hearn had the nerve to say "or straight in to a world title fight" Like that's going to happen, inactive, hand injury, Hearn wouldn't do that but it's just another example of the BS he spits in the faces of the Matchroom Cult members.
I wouldn't bet against Hearn dropping Buatsi into the deep end without a paddle. He may just want to cash him out now.
Maybe, it's getting to that point, it may depend on what happens with AJ and Whyte. If AJ loses again, Whyte doesn't get his shot or loses to Fury then Hearn might gamble with Buatsi just to try and get his hands on a world title.
It’s all very fishy - if it wasn’t, Eddie would have already been out there talking positively about re-scheduling as he usually does. I think Buatsi has dropped him in it again…he’s developing a history of pulling out of fights claiming injuries. Not questioning his heart and maybe it is genuine, but there’s a pattern of this now.
It was just a publicity stunt. Bustsi aint got the heart to face the best. He'd pull out of a fight from a ****ing cold sore.
Craig Richards not a step up? Its his 16th pro fight against a former world title challenger and british champ. For context Yarde's 16th fight was against Tony Averlant, Callum Smiths against Oleg Fedotovs, Callum Johnsons against Willbeforce Shihepo. Who has the better fight and resume at 16 fights?
Smith turned over at 21 years old. He was an accomplished amateur and could have stayed on to 2016 and who know. There is never two like for like comparisons. By that logic Mathieu Bauderlique was the other Bronze medalist and fought This content is protected . Michael Conlan went in against TJ Doheny, Yamaguchi Falcao fought This content is protected at 16 fights. Gold medalists in the same Olympics such as Yoka, Ramirez, Tischenko, Yeluessinov none of which have stepped up beyond the level of Buatsi. No two cases are the same but I think although the injuries have been frustrating the actual step up of fights have been decent enough Besides a very small minority unless you are the highest elite amateur Loma/ Usyk etc then not many amateurs fly into world titles within 10 fights like everyone seems to want
Yarde fought in a soviet russian gulag for a world title when he had just turned 28. Buatsi will be 29 by the time he next fights
So what? Buatsi has been pro for 2 and half years less. Which is a totally different ball game. Yarde fell into that opportunity due to Franks relationship with the WBO. If Buatsi was called as mandatory I am sure he would take the fight
