Hopefully he doesn't come in lighter like the past opponents have done. I would love to see him come heavy fight night. And folks remember looks are just looks. Bodybuilders are at their weakest at the time of the actual event and the week leading up to it. I'll rather see a Clottey come in with no abs weighing in at 165 being healthy, than a Clottey coming in at fight night looking like an action figure at 150 and not being at 100%.
Clottey will be big and strong for this fight. He didn't have to concenntrate on lising the extra 2 pounds, and he doesn't have some mythical rehydration clause. Pac will be staring across at the real deal on March 13th. No watered-down version.
these *******s are acting as this is a tune up fight, clottey might not win but im damn sure he will put a better fight up than cotto or hatton and im a self proclaimed cotto nut swinger!
The guys saying 'how does he make 147?'...well, Clottey has entered the ring at 171lbs before, he's one of those guys who can cut 20lbs of water on the day of the weigh in. He's absolutely shredded at 170 then its just the cut. I'd guess he's about 180 in the pic. Most top level fighters are draining a lot and are so much bigger than you realize.
Bump FanHouse article today states that Clottey weighed in at 154 yesterday. Has to lose 7 pounds in 2 weeks
He always look good; that isn't his problem. His problem is that he fights too conservatively and isn't assertive enough. That's going to cost him against Pac. Clottey better hope and pray that he catches Manny with some good counter shots or Manny is going to run away with this fight. Manny is open for counters, but, will Clottey be too busy with his hands in front of his face trying to block punches?
Which explains why he cant fight the full 12 rounds without taking off several rounds during a fight. .......dehydrating off 20 lbs is simply too much and not at all healthy.
Yawn. Before Pac-Cotto, a good number of people were saying Cotto was strong and would give Pac one hell of a war. Truth is, styles make fights. Josh's style is just the right kind for Pac to go in for an easy kill. It'll be a closer contest than the Pac-Cotto fight since Josh can take a punch. But still, I expect a dominating performance by Pac. Hope I'm wrong though.
