Margarito won the fight. Because your next response is predictable and will inevitably focus on the result rather that an examination of why and how the result came about, I have conveniently re-posted one of my previous responses. :thumbsup

Your not fully examining the out come neither, like I stated to you, get a copy of CLOTTEY VS CORRALES you will hear CLOTTEY in the PRE FIGHT interview tell Mrs. Bryant when asked about the hand injury, Clottey states "THE HAND WAS NOT BROKEN THE DR SAID IT WAS BRUISED" sorry but fighters bruise their hands all the time, they even break them often and yet real fighters fight through that they dont stop. and this is exactly why today Margarito has a win over Clottey, he fought through both of his injurys Clottey did not.

The medical diagnosis of Clottey's injury means little to this discussion. The fact of the matter is whether Clottey fractured his hand in 5 places or caught a hang nail on his pinky, it was evident that after sustaining his injury he clearly wasn't the same fighter. It WASN'T because of a stylistic adjustment on Margarito's part or him just imposing his will on Clottey to the extent of paralyzing him from throwing the left.

If you couldn't see that the injury clearly affected Clottey then I strongly suggest you watch the fight again.

Dont you think that perhaps he could possibly be making an excuse? I mean isnt there the slightest chance that, he was just telling stories? I mean come on already, yes he got a bruised knuckle but he also had Margarito in front of him, who was nailing him to the body alot!! you think that had nothign to do with it? it was all the bruise?

Let's see on one hand Clottey is pitching a shut out and came off a dominating 4th round performance but unfortunately sustained an injured hand that prevented his effective in throwing that hand for the remainder of the fight.

    or

On the other hand Clottey is pitching a shut out and came off a dominating 4th round performance but faked a hand injury because Margarito managed to land a couple body shots that were few and far in between spread over the first 4 rounds.

    Hmmmm :think

or how about a more realistic out come, Clottey was doing well in the first half of the fight hurt his hand somewhere along the way, Margarito wasnt stopping or slowing down, so it was best to protect himself. i mean that is why he stopped fighting right? the injury, but its also becuase Margarito was still throwing he was not slowing down, and Clottey would be stupid to try and fight back if the hand did bother him as much as he claims it did.

Here is another factor fighters do make excuses when they lose, Clottey making an excuse would be nothing new.

Ok so it sounds like your now acknowledging that Clottey was affected by the injury and that's ultimately why he lost. :happy
