    :rofl:rofl:rofl

Is Clottey great?! He lost to Cotto who imo is inferior to Vargas in every way. Clottey also lost to Margarito and Baldomir.

    In their prime :

Clottey loses to COTTO, BALDOMIR, MARGARITO
Vargas loses to TRINIDAD, OSCAR DE LA HOYA

Also, QuarTEY is so much better than fellow countryman and neighbor ClotTEY, and Vargas descisively beat Quartey. Quartey is faster, stronger, and smarter than Clottey.

I hate when newbs underrate fighters they've never watched, and overrate curent fighters.:patsch

I think it's new fans to boxing who make these stupid comments.

In a way, I'm grateful to have witnessed the 90's, because todays fighters are nowhere near those fighters in terms of talent.

Recently someone was trying to say that todays fighters were just as good, and said that Paul Williams was as good as Trinidad, and De La Hoya.

I said, "Really, Williams in his 10 years has done the following. He has been a champ ONLY twice and succesfully defended his strap ZERO times. He won it against Tony, lost it to Quintana, and won it back, end of story. ONLY THREE title fights.

Trinidad by his 10th year had about TWENTY title fights, and had defended his strap about 19 times.

Oscar by his 10th year was 5 time time world champion with 20+ title fights.

Nando takes this one with relative ease. He beat Quartey and Wright who have somewhat similar styles to Clottey but are vastly superior fighters. No way in hell does Clottey beat a peak Vargas.

Prime Vargas is too much for him. Vargas had potential to be a borderline great fighter
