I didn't even know these two were fighting (according to the Fightnews schedule anyway, not shown on Boxrec). If so, this will be on the same card as Paul Williams vs. Sergio Martinez and Chris Arreola vs. Brain Minto. This sounds like one hell of a fight card. Williams-Martinez will likely be the main event, but I think Clottey-Quintana is far more interesting than the other two. Assuming this fight is for real, who wins?

If I knew there'd be this little interest, I would have just put Mayweather and Pacquiao in the thread title.

looking on the schedule jesse feleciano is fighting quintana. my understanding is that clottey bailed with arum when pavlik pulled out for the staph infection in his right hand.

Quintana wins a UD decision in hard fought fight that exceeds everyone's expectations and ends up being one of the better fights of the year.

    I just had a vision.

And Quintana gains respect after the fight for showing grit and heart and a chin. He outboxes Clotty early, gets into a grind with him in the middle rounds, and in the late rounds they battle it out with Quintana getting the better of the exchanges and Clotty tiring out.

Quintana is chinney. Clottey has good power, good skills, and a good beard. Quintana will try his run and hit tactics just like what Judah did, but will fail. Clottey cuts the ring and knocks Quintana out in the late rounds.

I see quintana outboxing clottey early on while clottey covers up and constantly plays the stalker. around the midway point, clottey begins wearing quintanta, who then either begina fighitng negatively or gets stopped from taking too much punishment.

Thanks for that info. Boxrec almost always has a more accurate schedule than Fightnews. It WOULD have been an interesting fight, but at least we still have an interesting poll. Which schedule has Feleciano vs. Quintana anyway?

boxrec has it on the schedule with the williams fight.

i wouldve been alot more interested in Clottey and Quintana. dont care for feleciano. he is just there to lose.(though he gave cintron a tougher than expected night)

I would go with Clottey by split decision in a very very close fight and better than expected fights.
