Clottey moving up and trying to make some noise at middleweight? Clottey is too tight and to accurate for Rosado. But he has a tendency to get injured but that also might be because he was cutting so much weight in the past. This is a more natural weight for him though and if he does well in this fight ... the MW division just got a little juicier for 2016
Clottey is the perfect Canelo opponent for May if he wins this. Big name, past it, can be outweighed up to 10 pounds on fight night, no way he can win more than 7 rounds so easy UD for Canelo.
Clottey should have stuck it out at 154, but then again, when Alvarez pulls out and Lara and others turn down fights, you have to do what you have to. If Clottey has what he had against Mundine, he should win.
Hes older, not sure hes past it though. Clotteys talent was always been underrated, but its also because he needs to control the pace or else disappears in fights and goes defensive for far to long.
Wow i need to start following your predictions, because i think i can win a lot of money off the complete opposite results of what you foresee
Complete opposite, you think clottey could have any chance at stopping Rosado. ??? I can only assume you mean from cuts or lemiux destroyed one of boxings best chins and now Rosado is far less durable ??? The Rosado I know could let clottey tee off on him all night ala Mayorga but not be hurt by anything clottey could land on a still eyes closed rosado. Unless, that was just tongue and cheeke.response from you. Has to be, no one could be that ignorant. Well, on the other hand, everyone who visits this site is giving up brain cells each time on here
I dont think Clottey stops him, possibly kd, but i think he definitively wins a wide UD. Clottey very accurate, very good counter puncher, poised and underrated speed with a very tight D, built like a tank, he'd probably even be nice sized at middleweight. Rosado could have a chance at victory with a veryhigh work rate. But it has not been his style of fighting. A high work rate causes Clottey dissappears behind that shell, ala margarito/pacquiao.
You do realize Mundine was KO'd by Sven Ottke and Garth Wood right:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl, Mundine goes down with a stiff gust of wind blows past. Clottey has beaten no one of note in the last 7 years, he couldn't even KO Jorge Silva after he got brutally beaten down and stopped in round 1 against Pablo Cesar Cano of all people. God you people are as stupid as f*** Clottey isn't some beast incarnate because he beat Mundine.atsch Rosado will beat him down and stop him like he did Soto-Karass and Bryan Vera, Clottey is too small to be a force at MW. And will all see that weight divisions exist for a reason.
Its at 158. While i think that Rosado will put some hurt on him, i doubt he can stop CLottey, unless Clottey folds.
I never mentioned Mundine bro, try not to invent threads of the convo that don't exist. Clottey used to rehydrate 15-20 lbs at welterweight, not sure what your talking about
Well where the hell else did you get so much confidence in Clottey? His astonishing earth shaking UD wins over Dashon Johnson and Jorge Silve?
He took care of business and basically shut those guys out and KOing Mundine. It would be like in the NBA if the warriors beating the sixers. Are you gonna be impressed? No but the fact they are taking business and winning by 60 points shows that hes doing what hes supposed to. Not recently but he won on my card vs Cotto. I've always rated Clottey highly as a fighter, he has a lot of strengths. He gives any fighter include an elite one a tough night, unless you come at him with a high work rate and don't get affected by his crisp counters. Because then he will disappear. Styles make fights. Rosado is not really a slick boxer and not really a big puncher. But fights like hes a boxer puncher. He doesn't commit enough to throwing with bad intentions and he doesn't throw enough combos or have especially tight defense. On top of that he picks his spots to fight with this style. That is a style made for Clottey to dismantle. Clottey is a better fighter then Rosado. He's fighting at his natural weight class. His chin is Granite. He doesn't have the power to stop Rosado. Only by accumulation, but more likely he will just fight to a decision. I can only hope Vegas thinks like you do and makes him an underdog so i can makeup for not putting down the 1000 dollars i intended to do when i logged into bovada.lv to bet on Jacobs the night before the Quillin fight but then *****ed out of. I also seem to recall you were the same guy that called Quillen blowing him out in my thread breaking down that fight, which i called correctly.
I feel if rosado comes at 75% what he was for his b2b fight, or whatever it was called. 2 mins rounds with a cage and small ass ring, against triour G or his condition he came to the lemiux fight with he'll be the one winninga clear but contested fight againstead clottey. I think it's a picked but if I had to choose I don't be pro rosado with confidence. . Not a ton of confidence but enough to now make a bet if the odds are skewered
