I don't think Joshua has a glass chin but he does not recover well from shots, I don't know if it is a stamina problem. The shot Ruiz put him down with in the 3rd round hit him on the side of the head just above his right ear. This shot scrambled his brain which explains why he was asking silly questions in his corner in between rounds. I also don't think Joshua has a glass body too, even though he was hurt to the body with a right hand from Ruiz. Joshua was just too afraid of getting dropped again from a head shot that he left his body wide open to be hit by a 260+ pound guy
Well it's certainly not sturdy. We've seen him rocked several times now. Even the Povetkin fight, his legs dipped a bit but no one talks about it or thinks about it because of the result. There's rumours of Dubois and Price (Confirmed) KOing him in sparring.
He doesn’t have a glass chin but he is chinny and his overmuscled physique is not conducive at all to recovery. His muscles are filled with lactic acid and sap his oxygen levels. If he dropped 15lbs he would recover far better and he’d have the ability to move away from Punches better. It’s his lack of head movement that kills him.
Ruiz is not a hard puncher for heavyweight standards and Joshua couldn‘t even take 2 combinations without nearly falling apart, I think he has a very suspect chin and he already showed glimpses of it in his previous fights.
He gets staggered a lot in fights and his major issue is his upright stance and lack of head movement. I used to favor Wilder to beat him, now I have very little doubt he'd knock him out violently. AJ's defense is too shoddy and his lack of mobility and head movement would make him target practice for WIlder.
He seems to lose everything when clipped around the top of the head, not so much the chin but the temple area. But yeah he has to be label "suspect" as best now.
He hasn’t got a great chin anyway but his problem is nervous energy after being hurt, he completely gasses for a few rounds afterwards. He’s done it against whyte, klitschko & ruiz, his body looks like it just completely drains of energy.
Wilder has a better chin. Wilder stays calm under pressure and has much better stamina. If Wilder lands on AJ's face, it's game over.
He got knocked down four times against a boxer not known for his power. That chin just might be Khan level.
The shot that caught him and basically finished him was a temple shot, not his chin at all. I’d say he light in the britches despite all that size.
