I watched it with my entire family and we were on the edge of our seats throughout. Having not really rated Fury beforehand we were all amazed to see him bamboozling Wlad and couldn't wait to see if he was disciplined enough to keep it up or if Wlad could find a way to win.

People act like like it was a Sergio Mora fight and that it certainly weren't.

I agree that it was compelling to view live, even if it's not a thriller to review. And it's not as if Fury hadn't been in his share of fun fights already, he was entitled to box clever for a few crucial bouts.

I actually believe he'd have been more aggressive on home turf, would've picked up a high guard, walked his man down more and imposed his infighting nous on Wlad were it not for fear of being penalized by uneven officiating in Germany - and such fears wouldn't have been unfounded, because even as cleanly as Fury fought, Weeks still managed to dock a point from him when Wlad offered him the back of his head while trying to escape after eating two successive left hooks, while a blatantly deliberate Klitschko headbutt went entirely unadmonished.

    Sidenote;

Seeing as we've been tackling the subject of Fury's supposed fear of Wlad, how often do you see a challenger enter the champion's domain with as supreme an air of confidence as Fury exhibited on his way to the ring in Düsseldorf? That was an ATG ring walk.

Most fighters would and have crumbled under the circumstances he fought Wlad under. Experience performing on a stage that big needs to be developed and Fury had zero fight experience on that magnitude going in.

CHEF always said that Manny would would say - "welcome to big time boxing" - to all Wlads opponents ,then claimed they would lose all confidence they had in themselves when they realized they were in over their heads.

The pressure on Fury going into Wlads den was insurmountable yet he strolled into the ring like he owned the place , still taunting him right up until they touched gloves.. It was one of the greatest walks of confidence i ever witnessed and displayed the mental strength and self belief Fury had in himself.
    lol@people calling Fury a coward.

This is a very astute post, my good fellow. I'd 'like' it several times, if I could.

Both were excellent wins but Joshua beat the far superior version.

In Germany Wlad thought he would get the decision in an uneventful fight, so didn't feel the need to take many chances. When he finally opened up in the 12th he wasn't having trouble landing, proving he was just too tentative for the previous 11 rounds.

The Wlad that fought AJ was just a completely different animal. He was, in his own words, '#obsessed' - ridiculously motivated and desperate for redemption. He knew if he lost to Joshua it would be the end of the road, and couldn't have given anything more to try and win that fight. Left it all in the ring, went out on his shield like a warrior. Polar opposite to the version that fought Fury.

Wlad wanted no part of a Joshua rematch, whereas he couldn't wait to get back in the ring with Fury. That in itself speaks volumes.

Which win was better for boxing and more entertaining? AJ over Wlad

Which win was more impressive? Fury over Wlad. Because Fury took his V card away, in his second career where he had been undefeated for 10 years. Thats impressive

Klitschko had been KOed before. He'd never been outboxed before. People thought it couldn't be done. Fury did it, against all odds, against a dominant champion at the height of his confidence in the champion's own back yard.

I'd say it's very obvious which was the more impressive win.

Him running full pelt at Wlad should already be a part of boxing folklore. Great stuff.

As for the worst entrance of all time, might that be SNV against Haye with that awful rock band.

Wlad was not out boxing Joshua, even if you gave him 1 round up prior to the 11th round its a basic even fight with the 2 knockdowns in the 5th round.

Fury did nothing but get more body taps ...yes taps to out point Klitchko which are ineffective punching not exactly constituting a reason for taking a title BC he was also pressed in that fight.

Reverse the double standards on here with the Hughie Fury vs Parker fight and its no different fight in terms of similarities. Except Klitchko actually landed on Tyson...lol

It doesn't matter who Klitchko opponents were the history itself shows he comes back or improves on performance. Style is subjective I have little doubt he defeats Fury in a rematch his own family stated Klitchko was going to be more focused and harder the second time . You can wish to ignore that but that's a fact not a assumption.

The general consensus was Klitchko did have a night off and the bookies certainly do make the odds BC they are the ones who have to do the homework with statistics in determining who the favorite is in ALL sports. The general public can only persuade a perceived favorite in the odds going up or down more.

Only those with fogged up vision or set mindset thought the fight was some crazy one sided one. The fact is most only saw this fight once...I've literally seen it over 20 times and challenge anyone to turn the volume off and then watch it and watch closely what punches are actually landing.
