Can all of these people who noticed during camp/on the ring walk/during introductions that AJ was a zombie (not right, not himself, etc) please link to your posts where you called out that he was about to get KO’d, or your twitter posts or best of all your betting slips where you cashed in on these keen observations? Because I missed those.

Sounds like she was right on the money if these sparring stories are genuine!

Actually there seems to be plenty of talk about how he didnt want to fight, and that he was possibly still feeling the effects of being knocked out in sparring.

Yeah, talk - on the forum.

But, as far as the promoter Eddie Hearn and the fighter, Anthony Joshua are concerned, there's nothing. Except having to change the groin protector late.

If Joshua didn't want the fight or had a problem in sparring both he, and Hearn, who is not shy about making excuses public, are keeping it a secret.

He would though, wouldn't he? AJ is symobolic and totemic of Matchroom and is Eddie's biggest cashcow. He has to be seen as 24/7, 365 days a year Superman.

I assume you haven't seen the clip of Joshua Senior having to be held back from Hearn?

Surely doctors look at a fighter pre fight. You can't fake being concussed to a doctor.

Just wanna be clear - I wasn’t trying to start a “conspiracy theories” thread. At all.

Just wanted somewhere to catalogue this kind of discourse - and it seems that it is serving that purpose, so thanks for the opinions and references.

For example, I have learned a lot more now - groin guard, talk of concussions, AJ’s dad drama etc etc. Good to have it all in one place.

For what it’s worth, I hadn’t seen the post fight interviews and presss conferences and statements - and having seen all that stuff you can only really take the fighter and promoter at their word. Anything else is pure rumour really. Fair play to them both for taking it on the chin and dealing with it with clarity.

He definitely seemed weird beforehand to me, and it seems many others too. I’m gonna put it down to nerves or psyche. He’s carried enormous pressure for a long time, but at least he had consistency in the past. That can compound any jitters I suppose.

Of course they are keeping it secret. If Hearn pressured AJ to fight on after being KOd in sparring, the public, especially those that payed for the fight and those that gambled on it, would be pissed.

But yes I still feel its odd that they haven't said anything. From the interviews Ive seen, Hearn seems pretty genuine and adamant that he didnt think there was anything wrong with AJ.

However, its clearly not just talk 'on the forum'. People inside of british boxing are discussing it as well and certain people who say that they are in the know are saying he didnt want to fight.

For some reason you seem to be giving unnecessary pushback to the notion that, yes... there seems to be enough oddities and whispers that perhaps its true that AJ might have not been right leading into this fight and that its a topic worth exploring for its validity.

I noticed all the things you have mentioned. Something wasn't right. A lot of people can't see what's right in front of their eyes!

He didn't do his usual walk around the ring and prayer In the corner pre-fight either, something was deffo off.

Also I think the groin guard story is complete BS. This is an experienced guy with an experienced team, he would have his own groin guard that he's comfortable wearing without doubt. It's not like he's handed a new one he's never worn before.

Not to mention in big trouble with the commission for not declaring any pre fight concussion.

This change of groin protector excuse sounds a lot like Hearn baloney.
