Chisora seemed the obvious choice but Hearn dismissed him as an opponent last night in an interview with Kugan, apparently Chisora is pursuing a fight with Pulev in Bulgaria.

Sounds like Hearn already has an oppenent for AJ in April but is waiting til next week to announce it, says most people will be happy with the opponent, gotta be Takam or Jennings?

Has to be Takam as Jennings would want too much. There is also little point in fighting Jennings from a rankings point of view.

Definitely little point but apparently they have been negotiating, the fights that would make most sense for Joshua right now are Chisora for EU & Takam for IBF mandatory.

So after Whyte almost had his boy out, Hearn going back to fighting dudes who've been stopped recently in the hope of facing the worst champion in boxing.

    Yeah i think it's a good opponent.

i see del boys point of view - it's one last pay day very little for him to gain from it right now. Literally ends his career if he loses

Why would it end his career? Chisora's MO is to real off a series of win against cab drivers, get a big fight and lose. Its a game of snakes and ladders. He would merely go back to start.

Is it just me or do most of you seem to rate Takam a level above Chisora?

Aint nothing he's done that is greater than Chisora's efforts against the likes of Scott and Helenius. Takam might have the greater work rate but Chisora hits much harder and has a better chin. Chisora stops Takam imo, i'm not even british but I feel Chisora is becoming vastly underrated these days.

AJ would not have an easy night against Dell boy or Takam, but he's so gifted i'd say he must be a favourite even though he's still very green.

Yeah I noticed that as well and found it strange, I don't think Takam is as good as Chisora.

Chisora & Takam are very close, maybe I'd just edge towards Takam.

AJ beating Takam opens up more doors than AJ beating Chisora. IBF is the quickest & easiest route to world title, I can see why they would lead AJ down this route.

Exactly, the Hearns know how close Joshua came to losing & now they're back tracking.

going by his last few fights, chisora is done! his punch resistance isnt what it was.

    takam had povetkin in trouble.

takam is a level above chisora right now, i think its a harder fight.

His last 5 fights he's 5-0 with 4ko's, Fury didn't ko him he just gave up because he was never going to win, Haye hits like a truck i'd like to see any heavyweight survive that shot tbh.
