Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury are both currently considered the best 2 heavyweights in the world. Defense will play an important part in their fight. This begs the question: Who has the better defense?

Both have decent defense, fury is basically using his huge size, and a lot of jab and grab, and his "suprisingly" great head movement.
Slight Advantage to fury IMO due to his greater chin.

Because Fury got hit more by Wllin than AJ has in any of his bouts.

I think this video is good comparison. So for once i will say good job mark ant. You could be a decent poster, if not trolling 99% of the time.

Fury is more a natural, in the way Ali was. I'd say he has better "radar" and is more effortless in his head movement. He's also more naturally defensive tactically while AJ thinks offence first (but have changed in that regard somewhat after the Ruiz loss). Because of this and his height and reach, Fury gets hit less.

But AJ has the more fundamentally sound defence and looks to counter more from his defensive moves.

It's a bit like comparing Louis and Ali. Ali had a great pull counter, though, and Fury doesn't have much of that in his locker.

Allow me to answer like this: one of them, I'm always impressed with their defensive ability to avoid shots despite the fact that they look like they should be a lumbering oaf...................the other, I've never looked at a fight and said, he has a hell of a defense. I'll let you guess who's who..............

The only fight AJ got hit a lot in was the first Ruiz fight, even Wlad didn`t catch AJ much despite knocking him down and having him badly hurt. Povetkin was the only other fighter that caught him much andd Takam tagged him here and there but not as much as Wallin tagged Fury.
