Completely disinterested the whole fight. Joshua and Hearn careless in defeat.

But now, DAZN (who Hearn/Joshua are heavily invested in) has a Mexican - American heavyweight champion for its next 2 AJ fights, which will explode their US/Mex based subscriptions for their trilogy, and Joshuas UK fan base will be completely rejuvinated and packing 100,000 seat stadiums for Joshuas comeback.

Business wise. The loss to Ruiz Jr is the best thing that could have happened to Joshua/Hearn. And to keep the big dollars rolling in, thats why they threw the fight.

Don’t think Hearn and AJ would be on it but he didn’t look right in the ring before the fight.

John Skipper, with his power, may have had Joshua targeted with microwave weapons. It’s a possibility.

    But, regardless, I’m buzzing.

He looked asleep/off with the fairies from locker to locker room. The fix was in, as it always is. Boxing is business first, second and third. Better to lose and become filthy rich than win for smaller and smaller salaries.

I would think staying undefeated in your US debut in spectacular fashion would keep the big dollars rolling in more than getting dropped 4 times and beaten up by a fat dude.

That was truly bizarre. Even when he was being introduced, in his corner, he seemed so bla'se. I don't rule out your theory. Just weird all round. Ruiz is a pure fighter and Joshua is chinny but it was very suspect. Reminded me of Brewster-Klitschko.

No. He didn't look right but you can't take anything away from Ruiz. He rolled the dice and won big and deserve major props for that.

Yes the rematch does big business and they suddenly have a PPV in the UK which will be huge as Ruiz has now become credible but no way they are happy to lose the fight.

    Again well done Ruiz.

He would have to be an excellent actor because the impression he was doing of a hurt boxer who’s legs had gone was impressive.

He didn't look right because he assumed it was going to be easy work.

In the changing rooms he still had his tracksuit on, and I was joking that he was preparing by watching the football final.

Behind the faux humble persona, is a arrogant entitled thug who thought he would simply bully his way through another stumpy tubby man without much effort and simply turn up and best Wilder's 1st round DB KO.

He was probably more focused on what his post fight war cry to Wilder than he was on Ruiz.

Welcome to america ya pansy! Hearn is losing money, the whole dazn show is shameless british overhyping and propaganda. There is no way that getting beaten up by Ruiz instead of Wilder was in the script.
