Someone wake me up when they line this kid up with a real opponent.
There's been nothing to see so far since he turned pro. Seen a few clips of him but haven't bothered to watch those 14 sh!t mismatches. People getting excited over nothing happening yet.
A couple of years ago it was exactly the same story, substitute the name "David Price" for "Anthony Joshua".

Wilder at least has beat Stiverne and is WBC champion. Joshua hasn't fought anyone that can punch back yet and it is for a reason. He has a Glass Jaw. Just like Price does.

Anthony Joshua is in possession of a fragile mandible, or what is commonly known in the trade as a very shaky set of whiskers.

He is an accident waiting to happen, and being ever so carefully matched is unlikely to stop him from being brutally knocked out cold at some point. Just look back at the mans amateur career, you cannot train a chin.

I see him as the Amir Khan of the HW's. Likely to be brutally stopped, to fool the public that he has improved and then get stopped again...In the HW's that will not stop him winning a trinket when Wlad retires, but he will never be a great like that Great Canadian World Champion Lennox Lewis or Vitali Klitschko.

Hype job is being a world champion with a resume of cans and a best win over Stiverne LOL

Joshua is stepping up his competition at the rate expected...far more promise than Wilder who is the real accident waiting to happen.

Here is the ATG Mike Tyson's record......

    http://boxrec.com/boxer/000474

check out his first 15 or so opponents and you'll see that AJ is coming along at a no lesser rate of progress....and Tyson become world champ at 20 due to his early start and fighting often as he was coming up. People are always quick to criticise an up n coming fighters opponents...some of those writing articles for this websites front page right some absolute drivel and DKSAB...as with many posters on this board.

AJ may or may not be as good as many are thinking and hoping (I'm a huge fan) but yes he needs to be tested at some point but they're not doing a Wilder with him you'll see him step up soon and be fighting at world level before he takes a belt.

    Mike Tyson opponents...

    Fight no.14 - Sammy Scaff 21 wins 14 losses.
    fight no.15 - Mark Young 14 wins 37 losses 1 draw.
fight no.16 David Jaco 24 wins 25 losses 1 draw.

in light of this tell me AJ isn't somehow doing much better than this ?

1-Tyson wasn't an Olympic gold medalist
2-Tyson was fighting for a world title 20 months after his debut. Joshua, after 20 months as a pro Joshua looks set to fight Gary ****in' Cornish!
3-Tyson was still a freakin teenager!

Again the number of fights is irrelevant to the the hype Joshua is getting. No one was saying Tyson was the "5th best Heavyweight" on the planet after 14 fights, likewise the media wasn't declaring him capable of beating every heavyweight on the planet at that point.

I think his career has been going well but he needs to step it up.

I am not liking this whole fake persona though, he's not that humble guy that he portrays to be and no way he got the physique he did without juicing also.
