    Lol you know it.

Anthony Joshua Vs Tyson Fury. Damn! Really hope when Tyson comes back he just as sharp as he once was.
Sure this would sell out Wembley. I for one would kill for a ticket!

    Wrong again.
You see. this is why your posts arent valid. Martin had, had over 20 fights. It was Joshua with only 15 fights challenging for the title.
So your argument about being protected with the comment above makes no sense at all... Again
Why was he lucky to have the belt?
You are trying to change your angle due to not having a valid point.
You now say thats who he should fight at that point.
    Its hardly being protected.
Some felt going for a world title with only 15 fights and coming off a tough fight with Whyte was early. I recall some feeling Martin would win.
Thats not protecting when you have a 15-0 fighter challenging a world champ who was 23-0-1 with 21KOs

    ,
Once again though. It is not being protected
Joshua had less fights than Breazeale and only been a pro around 4 years, so that argument means nothing.
Breazeale is a top 10 HW. Was undefeated at 17-0 with 15KOs. Joshua was 16-0. Breazeale had also fought fighters like Kassi and Mansour at that time
Once again thats hardly protected for a 16-0 fighter.
Whyte had also had more fights than Joshua and considering Whyte had beaten Joshua when he was a young amateur, had arguably been involved in the sport for a similar amount of time.
Hardly being protected when Joshua was 14-0 against a 16-0 fighter in a British/Commonwealth title fight

I really cant see your point
You are not making a fair comparison here. I expect you know that. Once again you are trying to change your approach due to knowing its a failed argument.

When Tyson fought McBride. Tyson hadnt been a HW champ for not far off 10 years. Thats right.
When Klitschko fought Joshua he had been a HW champ a year and a half before. Big difference

In 5 fights before the respective fights you note -
    - Tyson was 2-2 with a NC, and suffered 2 KO losses
    - Klitschko was 4-1 with just a points loss, had all been in title fights. Had fought 4 undefeated opponents, beaten 3 fighters who many still have rated in the top 10 in Pulev, Povetkin and Jennings, having taken the 0 of each

Klitschko had been far more active and the only reason he hadnt fought for a bit of time was due to 2 fights falling through, so was an active fighter in training

    Thats hardly a shadow.
Now I do agree that I think Klitschko would have been past his best, but also note that Joshua was only an 18 fight novice.
Do I think Joshua at that time would have beaten Klitschko of 5 years earlier? Probably not
Do I think 18-0 Wladimir would have beaten 18-0 Joshua? Probably not

Joshua was an 18 fight only fighter who took a big step up.

    Thats hardly protecting

Joshua cant help Pulevs age, but Pulev is still a top rated HW with some solid wins on his ledger.
I thought that was a good match up

Takam was given a full training camp for Joshua. He was told that if the Pulev fight didnt happen that it would be him right at the start and given a full camp. It wasnt like he just had 2 weeks notice. He had full notice. I think he was even paid as standby but may be wrong about that. He was given a full camp, so that argument is blown away.

I think you are trying to force an opinion but dont give the full facts

Im not a fan or hater, but I cant see how you can call a fighter with only 21 fights protected. He has beaten 2 undefeated world champs, beaten a still active top rated HW legend in under 20 fights, fought undefeated punchers and if you look at Boxing News ratings. Joshua at #1 had beaten 4 of the other 9 names in the top 10 and in only 21 fights.

The protected argument you make is rubbish and those facts prove it

I disagree with AJ being protected. He has fought whoever has been put in front of him and these include Klit Whyte Parker. He is now calling out Wilder and the only reason this fight won't happen is because Wilder doesn't want it.
The hype around AJ is well deserved. He is the best heavyweight out there currently and I think everyone should get behind him rather than having all his haters. For a boxer to have had 20 fights and won nearly all the titles then give him the credit he deserves
For some reason Fury has enhanced his reputation whilst not boxing. Yes he beat Klit in Germany but who else has he beaten. Before the Klit fight no-one would be banging on how good he is. I think AJ beats him if they fought but unfortunately I don't see it ever happening as I can't see Fury ever getting back to his peak.
Let's just hope Wilder gets some back bone from somewhere and agrees to fight AJ as that's what everyone wants to see.

You are missing my point I will give you Martin had 23 fights but like all heavies as stated before he fought nobodies for first 20 fights like most of them. then Martin fell lucky to win title by D Q that fury should have had or Klitschko if he had won fury, at that stage they wouldn’t have fought them two and rightly so. Now because they knew Martin was relative novice picking up a belt they took that and got the belt, great for josh but that’s fact.
then to protect the cash cow the next chain of events unfolded, take Klitschko 41, one and half years out of ring etc the Tyson comparison was just example of age and how your skills diminish not like for like, Dillian Whyte was built up because of the amateur fight they had as threat. but really up and coming over weight under 20 fight fighter fact, which he is addressing now. Yes pulev is older and Takam, and lots of evidence of fight being taken last minute even Parker’s team said he was riding his bycicle 2 weeks before fight but like I said before it might just be a lot of the contenders at the moment are coming to the end of there careers and are old and worn out by the time AJ fixes a fight with them I just hope the same doesn’t happen with wilder. You call me blinkered I don’t hate Joshua just don’t build him up to be this super fighter when they are either picking em or he has fell lucky to be fighting in an era where the good fighters are clearly ancient, Klitschko 41,Povetkin 38, Ortiz 105 ,38,pulev,37,Takam,37, lots of miles on the clock etc, then only fight on home soil with all the benefits that brings, I just can’t see why some of you can’t contemplate it’s a possibility when I present you with these facts. Just hope we don’t see the wilder fight shelved for a few years till he is mid thirties. By the way the thread should have read is Joshua protected my bad.

Other than Wilder who would you want him to face? Pulev was mandatory and recognised as top 5/6 in the world and Takam was a later replacement (top 10). Povetkin is top 5. Klitschko was the main man at the time with Wilder and Joshua underneath him.

There’s many faults of Joshua but you can’t put the fault on him for the age or quality of the current top 10/15 fighters.

Parker is in his prime, he gets no credit for it. Wilder is getting criticised for potentially fighting Kownacki, AJ is for potentially fighting Miller. Them two make up the top 15 too.

Other than Wilder he’s not being protected from anyone and the Wilder fight may well be next!

So who exactly is he being protected from and who do you want him to fight?

4 pages in and we still waiting to see what Joshua is being 'protected' from.

Like i said boys the thread starters post have ALL been about Anthony Joshua lol. He probably one of them ones who hate on line but in real life his bedrooms walls are filled with AJ posters!

This is a load of nonsense. This is the current top 10 on Boxrec with the number of opponents from the current top 10 (wins in brackets).

    Joshua 3 (3)
    Wilder 1 (1)
    Povetkin 0
    Pulev 0
    Ortiz 1 (0)
    Whyte 1 (0)
    Parker 1 (0)
    Miller 0
    Breazeale 1 (0)
    Kownacki 0

Only Breazeale and Kownacki have had fewer fights than Joshua. Make a thread about every other fighter being protected, then if you still feel the same way come and make one about Joshua.

This thread arose from the fight with Parker and the ref stopping him from plying his game plan to fight inside, first five rounds josh didn’t do much then anytime Parker came on strong ref discourages it, who is appointing these people the people with the power at the moment people in uk. that spoilt josh first lively prime contender while champion and got disappointed, like I said in my last thread he could be unlucky all the good contenders are past it, he could make the wilder fight and if he does that’s great.

Sorry these fighters don’t have the power to pick who and where they fight, they can’t get protected.

You,ve got a guy with a seven inch reach advantage. 3 or 4 inch height advantage. Naturally heavier man....Joshua 242, parker 236 but parkers carrying far more body fat than Joshua to get to that weight.

And still parker outlands him with powerpunches. Coming in Joshua was meant to be the guy no one can stand up to. The man 80,000 come out to watch on the other hand parker was the guy that was meant to get beat up in 3 or 4 rounds. Joshua on home soil with practically 80,000 fans in his corner. Joshua should be refunding peoples ticket money after that performance.

6 of they rounds they either landed the same punches or there was one punch more by either man. 3 we,re around 3 punches in it.

Parker outlanded him on powerpunches. Joshua hit him with more jabs which stands to figure...bearing in mind he had a 7 inch reach advantage. Never once hurt parker. Just spent the night relying on his big size advantage.

Joshuas meant to be this big superstar....I think that fight showed he really isn't. The first prime proper full time fighter he fought...showed hes not much better than the rest. Who aren't all that great themselves. People have spent wilders whole career laughing at him. Now he's also a superstar. Parker would have knocked joshua out on saturday if he was slightly bigger. He was the more skilled fighter of the two. Joshua just relying on his size.
