People are overhyping him way too much. Fair enough saying that he is a good prospect etc. But saying that he will be the next great HW? Come on, he got rocked by a half assed punch, and he hasnt got the engine to fight at a consistent pace. I wish him all the best, but he looked far from great against a fighter who isnt exactly Tyson.
Do you realise how bad the HW division is? Right now you have a fraud as a champion in Wilder who's beaten no one. You have a bigot in Fury who doesn't seem like he'll have a long reign. Is honestly boring to watch inside the ring, and who'll probably lose another belt soon enough since he's already lost one. Then you'll have another two frauds with belts who can easily be beaten by other fighters with a pulse.
I think AJ is overrated, and I think Fury is overrated, Wlad lost that match more than Fury won it. If AJ could beat Wlad in dominant fashion and not skipping around on the backfoot fighting like a b**** like Fury then yes I would praise AJ.
No my question was, if AJ was the one who fought Wlad instead of Fury, and it had the exact same outcome, would you be talking about how Fury schools or knocks AJ out?
Tyson got rocked by Bruno with a left hook.. who fking cares! it's boxing, you get hit. Especially by heavyweights it hurts.
Yes the division is comically bad. Anyone who actively goes for knockouts is the guy I want as champ. If that happens to be Joshua then so be it. He'll be a better champ than Fury or Wilder thats for damn sure. Even if he is a science project. Everyone is on something anyway.
The British boxing board of control tests fighters year round without any warning unlike every other country in the world. It puts British fighters at a big disadvantage.
